I'm fairly well traveled, hold status with 2 chains, so I've been around hotels long enough to review and compare. Overall this hotel is not quite the Mercure experience - it's more like an ibis budget experience. Rooms: - The one bedroom apartments are very tired and dated. It's long overdue for them to refresh, not sure what they're waiting for. It's not exactly the "luxury in the city" type rooms with nice pictures that they advertise on the Accor Hotels website. The rooms really need updating. - Broken floor tiles in the room, old furniture, damaged curtain railings. Bathroom looks very used and borderline disgusting especially around bathtub. The brown floor tiles in bathroom don't help either in ascertaining cleanliness. - Oversized furniture (like dining chairs) take up space in the room, leaving less room to manoeuvre. - Toilet was dirty when we received the room. There was yellowish/brownish water coming from the taps the first time because the room hasn't been used in a while and probably taps not opened. - Balcony is unusable. It's full of dust and hasn't been cleaned for a long time and not cleaned even once during our stay. - No dishwashing product in the kitchenette, no bar soap in the bathroom just liquid soap on the wall. These are important things during a pandemic. - When we checked in there were only 1-2 towels, while our reservation had 4 guests and we checked in online. Poor attention to detail. Housekeeping: - Did a below average job. Didn't replenish supplies. Didn't clear some of the packaging of the used supplies from the washbasin. - Didn't clean balcony furniture. - Didn't clean corners. Example: Floor is dirty under the curtains. Service (general): - Very slow or non-existent. Reception and Concierge rarely answer their phone, or answer after much delay. - Asked for clothes hangers (they left 3 hangers in the wardrobe for a family of 4) and they arrived after an hour. - Asked for towels, arrived after 40 mins and 2 phone calls. Check-in experience - Staff who handled my check-in (late night on 20th) was friendly. But she took a horribly long time to check us in, despite the online check-in. Either needs more training or better software. - As a Silver member, I wasn't offered my free drinks at check-in which I normally get at other Accor properties. - Concierge was good. The only highlight of the stay here. - Hotel is very busy outside. Traffic jams in the valet queue are common. Valet staff f

The hotel is in a perfect location next to metro station. The rooms are spacious and breakfast was good quality with variety of food. Though the pool area was very crowded due to children swimming lessons i couldnt use it. In the room the pan/pots were not clean there wasn’t cleaning detergant. The kitchen has no windows.

Good experience overall, good service and above all very good location thanks to the proximity with metro and other commodities. Some problems with the room though (taps badly fixed) and with the environment (very noisy because of Sheikh Zayed Road). Also, the apartment is very dark even in the middle of the day.

It was good, first days better than the rest as in the housekeeping started skipping some things like not leaving water or toilet paper, so, I had to call them. Also in the bathroom there was water and the kettle and microwave were not working properly. Sometime when I left my room in the morning and coming back in the afternoon the room was not done so, when the HK show up I just ask them not to clean as I wanted to rest.

Poor customer service. Took 3 weeks to refund my deposit money. Cleaning was to a poor standard. The elevator was very slow. Restaurant very slow with bringing food out. I waited over 1 hour for a steak and had to send sandwich back 3 times because they were not listening to my request to make it hot.

Very bad internet or no internet at all. A couple of times “the internet guy” came and did nothing to fix it. I left a number of reviews regarding the internet and the reason is not that I had spare time to leave reviews to complains, but that I was trying to connect all the time and every time it opened a review page and I left a review. Sometimes it didn’t open that page, so the number of complains I’ve left is just like 1% of my tries to connect during my stay. Other services are bad as well. Had to call a few times in order to get my request fulfilled. Sometimes it hasn’t been fulfilled at all. Every time I tried to be kind when asking for something, but almost every time they did it so wrongly or didn’t do at all so that I had to complain and be rude. Some housekeeping guys were so clumsy, that they used to hit or push some of my items to the floor (maybe unintentionally, but still..). When it was the turn to use the vacuum cleaner, they like tried to break it instead of cleaning the room. Hitting every possible wall, chair legs, sofa and so on. I was staying for a work and having online meeting during the housekeeping was just impossible, because no matter what they were doing there was always a noise. Also, some people in the hotel used to misbehave at nights and no one from personnel was aware or could take some actions. Sometimes some groups of people were coming to hotel drunk and started to scream, yell from one balcony to another, play very loud music and talk loudly. All of this after 1am (during the period when all cafes/clubs were closing at 1am). And this was happening almost every day during the mentioned period. This hotel was a bit expensive than my previous one and I thought it will be better. But after trying a few apart-hotels in UAE this is definitely the worst experience I’ve got so far.

Location was good, the service was good and overall a great stay. Issue of concern - room carpets dated, too much noise from the traffic, getting a lift( elevator) is time consuming. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Poorly furnished Apartments

The furniture is too old and in bad condition. I booked for a week and was evaluating if this is a good option for long term stay. Now I know it is definitely not worth it. You can get much better for the same money elsewhere.
