I came to Dubai 2020 expo and had a great stay, the hotel is lovely, generous room product, food is good and very convenient. One comment is the staff are almost robotic in customer engagement, they greet thousands of guests and the sincerity in their faces is deadpan, but they say all the right things like robots worth a mention

I really liked the location of the hotel, especially so close to the the metro. I was little upset when I arrived in the morning that the apartment wasn't ready for me to check in until 1-2.00pm. I did make a request and the receptionist was was apologetic and did manage to get me in for 12.30pm, which was great as you want to get in and freshen up after a long flight. The cleanliness of the room wasn't to a good standard and couple of days I had to get housekeeping to clean the floors again as the smell of the mop used was left a very nasty odor . I was surprised that the mop was not cleaned before using and during this period of Covid times I would have thought that the hotel took extra precaution to avoid cross contaminations from other guest rooms. The house keeping weren't using gloves or using any cleaning products on any door handles etc when cleaning. There was spill behind the bedside cabinet for the whole of stay but not looked at! I was surprised that hotel didn't take these extra measures to keep us all safe. I cleaned the door handles and places that was touched by the staff after they left. The reason I know this is I observed this as I was working from my apartment. Some days the room wasn't cleaned until late afternoon/evening. I have stayed at many Mercure hotel in UK and was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness during this tricky times we have all experienced in the last 18-24months. I would expect more from such a well known brand. I think the bathrooms and kitchen could also do with a make over to make them more modern. People need to feel confident in coming to Dubai after such a long period of restriction and need to feel comfortable within the hotel and using facilities. I would be happy to use the hotel again but hope these suggestions are useful in making us feel more confident in the future.

My booking was confirmed and payment secured (booking.com), however at 2am I was denied room that we are overbooked. I was already checking in after 12 hrs of my time, still need to wait in the lobby for next 3 hrs. Even in between got threat of booking cancelation by the receptionist. Please careful even after a confirmed booking.

The property is not well-kept. AC's are not serviced and sofas stink. The staff at long-term reception is rude and discourteous. I stayed for 1-month at AED 10K per month and when I asked to further extend my stay for 10 days, they asked 3x the price i.e. AED 10K for just 10 nights. Seasonality is a thing, but little heed should be paid to the loyalty of the guests as well. Left with a heavy heart.

During my 2 day stay the kitchen and laundry flooded. The room was very tired , old and dark looking even after I changed room to a Californian room. The bathroom had a very bad smell as if it had not been cleaned in quite sometime.

I arrived 23.45 on Saturday night and I have been queuing for 1hr and 30 minutes (!!) before to get a key. This is quite inappropriate for an important Hotel brand as Mercure, especially if you travel for work. I closed eyes at 3 AM (as I had problems in the room). First working day started at 7 AM. Make an educated guess on how I could work that day.

We were disappointed from the first minute. we waited with 2 children who fell asleep on your chairs in the reception from 00.00-03.45 in the middle of the night. You had overbooked the hotel and kicked guests out in the middle of the night. some had waited for 5 hours. the room was bit disapointed and it was not cleaned every day. we lack soap and towels every day. we called in disappointed for both reception and housekeeping. the front desk never responded. Only 1 out of 3 phones in the room worked. the drawers had broken. the lights / bulbs was broken. the electric kettle did not work. the washing machine leaked water. it was honestly the worst we have experienced. your manager and staff were not so polite and accommodating. we should understand their awkward situation but it should be the other way around.

We have been complaining for sooooo long about WiFi. It keeps on disconnecting every now and then. This happens not only in our apartment, even in the lobby. We're consuming my data inside the hotel, which is supposed to be consumed only outside the hotel. Any solution provided by them was just temporary. The WiFi keeps going on/off again and again and again. Last week the IT manager came to my apartment and he gave me his WhatsApp number, without me asking him, to text him immediately whenever an issue happens so he can check it from his side. He told me that even if he was off he can still check, so no worries. For the past 4 days, I have been complaining a lot and sending screenshots and screen recordings as proof to the IT manager (because once another IT guy gave us the attitude as if we're faking it, so we started recording). Unfortunately, he was very disrespectful and unprofessional. For 4 days in a row after he once texted me "will check it now", I received ZERO updates, ZERO phone calls, ZERO messages, ZERO emails regarding my issue, even though I kept on sending to him and to the operations as well and complaining a lot continuously with screen recordings. He has totally ignored me for 4 days. All my messages were delivered the time they were sent, and during these 4 days days he was on duty, and he was also informed during that period by operations and other IT guy to answer me instead of ignoring me. Only after these 4 days, he replied and told me that he checked over and over and there's no error in my apartment's access point. Seriously?? Seriously??!!! What about all the screen recordings I sent?? What about that the issue still exists and didn't get solved?? What about that I informed them a million times that this is not only in my apartment, it's also in the lobby. I even showed them a recording from the lobby of how the internet wasn't working, and only when I switched to data it worked. They also said "You're the only one complaining about the WiFi" as a way to show us that everything is fine from their side and we're complaining because we just want to complain. This is of course not true, a lot of other guests were also complaining, and it even happened in front of my eyes where there were two girls in front of me complaining and saying that other people they know are also facing the same issue. Guests are supposed to receive a stable internet connection with a limited speed, and this didn't happen despite all the complaints. Generally speaking, there's no respect for guests and their rights in this hotel. Also, when we want to order anything, it takes a lot of time for them to pick up the call first, then we have to wait for almost an hour for the order to come. Engineering department after they came to our apartment to fix something, they were supposed to clean after they finish or call the housekeeping to clean. It's very disrespectful to come back and find all the dirt as it is. We assume that this is very basic. But guess what! With this hotel, it doesn't seem so! In addition to that, on Tuesday 19/10/2021 at 12:51 PM and 4:08 PM, we were suddenly surprised that workers were cleaning the apartment's glass from the outside without prior written notice. This is a breach of privacy!!! Where is the management from all what is happening in this hotel?? Where are they??!!!

I'm fairly well traveled, hold status with 2 chains, so I've been around hotels long enough to review and compare. Overall this hotel is not quite the Mercure experience - it's more like an ibis budget experience. Rooms: - The one bedroom apartments are very tired and dated. It's long overdue for them to refresh, not sure what they're waiting for. It's not exactly the "luxury in the city" type rooms with nice pictures that they advertise on the Accor Hotels website. The rooms really need updating. - Broken floor tiles in the room, old furniture, damaged curtain railings. Bathroom looks very used and borderline disgusting especially around bathtub. The brown floor tiles in bathroom don't help either in ascertaining cleanliness. - Oversized furniture (like dining chairs) take up space in the room, leaving less room to manoeuvre. - Toilet was dirty when we received the room. There was yellowish/brownish water coming from the taps the first time because the room hasn't been used in a while and probably taps not opened. - Balcony is unusable. It's full of dust and hasn't been cleaned for a long time and not cleaned even once during our stay. - No dishwashing product in the kitchenette, no bar soap in the bathroom just liquid soap on the wall. These are important things during a pandemic. - When we checked in there were only 1-2 towels, while our reservation had 4 guests and we checked in online. Poor attention to detail. Housekeeping: - Did a below average job. Didn't replenish supplies. Didn't clear some of the packaging of the used supplies from the washbasin. - Didn't clean balcony furniture. - Didn't clean corners. Example: Floor is dirty under the curtains. Service (general): - Very slow or non-existent. Reception and Concierge rarely answer their phone, or answer after much delay. - Asked for clothes hangers (they left 3 hangers in the wardrobe for a family of 4) and they arrived after an hour. - Asked for towels, arrived after 40 mins and 2 phone calls. Check-in experience - Staff who handled my check-in (late night on 20th) was friendly. But she took a horribly long time to check us in, despite the online check-in. Either needs more training or better software. - As a Silver member, I wasn't offered my free drinks at check-in which I normally get at other Accor properties. - Concierge was good. The only highlight of the stay here. - Hotel is very busy outside. Traffic jams in the valet queue are common. Valet staff f
