I stay at the IBIS Sukumvit 24 frequently. It has always been an exceptional experience from the start to the start to the finish. The check in staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and accomodate any special requests and needs. Rooms are clean and comfertable with a good view of the bangkok skyline. Break fast spread is really good catering to a wide palate and restaurant staff are attentive and friendly. Hotel is very well located with emporium and emquartier malls just across the hotel and the BTS sky train station just a 3-5 min walk from the hotel. Overall its a great place to stay and the hotel staff make the whole experience extraordinary. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travellers.

well located, but cleanliness is suspect..water clogged up in the shower

radz74 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

This is an edit to an earlier 1 star review because i feel I focused to much on a negative experience and ignored many good points. I've stayed here 5 times in the last 2 months and generally the stays were very good with very friendly and helpful staff, clean basic rooms, a great location and a very safe hotel. My bad experience occurred where I had previously emailed the hotel to confirm I would receive free breakfast and platinum benefits and been told yes only to have them declined at checkin. After I spoke to the manager he held firm on the refusal as following the terms and conditions and disregarded correspondence I'd had with the hotel. I thought this was worth a 1 star rating but want to take the positive experiences also into consideration. It seems the costly misunderstanding can happen here so extreme caution needs to be paid and conversations even if in writing don't seem to mean anything to management. Something similiar but much more minor happened when I was told by staff of the 2 for 1 cocktail promo. I went to the bar during the time and said I was there for the 2 for 1 promo and ordered 2 coffee cocktails. When time came to pay I was billed for both and queried it. I was told coffee cocktails were excluded as written in the terms and conditions. Well I hadn't read the fine print because everything I thought had been clear conversations with staff but just paid double and left. This was another example though of being misinformed by staff and it costing me so take care.
