The visit was impressive and extremely cordial, friendly and professional in every part of the System. The food was well presented and delicious. The Chef came out and talked to customers. The service staff extremely friendly. The hotel has an extremely interesting history and it reflects it well . I will recommend it to my friends

History Tour + Afternoon Tea

Andini gave us an excellent historical tour of the hotel. She walked us through some of the rooms where famous people stayed and was great about pointing out interesting aspects of the hotel's architecture. Our tour took about 30-45 minutes, but she let us know that she could easily cater the length of the tour to suit our needs. The staff was also very flexible about scheduling the tour: their normal time slots were at 1 and 4 pm, but they offered to give us one at other times (like 11 am or 3 pm) to suit our needs. The afternoon tea was great fun and came with a delightful mix of snacks and cakes. All the food at this hotel is amazing, and the small bites served with tea were no exception. My only disappointment was with the macaroons served with the tea; they were too overcooked (all crunchy and not chewy on the inside like a macaroon should be). Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel and with the history tour + afternoon tea combo.

Returning to Hotel Majapahit in 2025 felt like coming home to a place full of charm and history. From the moment we stepped inside, the grandeur of the lobby once again wrapped around us — the elegant wood accents, the classic furniture and the nostalgic atmosphere that makes this hotel truly unique. Check-in was smooth and friendly, just as we remembered. Our room was spacious and spotless, with a view of the beautiful North Garden, where we enjoyed the serene atmosphere. Breakfast at the Indigo Restaurant continues to be a pleasant mix of Asian and European dishes, served buffet style with courteous and attentive staff. We again took our time there, enjoying the slow start of the day and watching life unfold outside. A small point for improvement this year: the curtains in our room could offer better blackout. For light sleepers, this would increase comfort even more. Special mention goes to the service desk, who handled everything with professionalism and warmth, and to the persons who cleaned our room, whose work was absolutely excellent. Also a warm compliment to the men at the front door, always service-oriented, helpful and ready with a friendly greeting, they set the tone every time we left or returned. Hotel Majapahit remains one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed, and even with a few minor points for improvement, it fully deserves our score of 9.
