I booked a twin room for myself and my daughter to stay,this was confirmed at check-in, sadly we got a double room,swiftly swapped for a twin,sadly this room was cold,noisy and one bed was quite uncomfortable. The staff were few and far between but very nice.I attempted to contact the hotel prior to arrival on numerous occasions but no one answered the phone....ever.Our stay was OK,we won't be rushing back though.

Had two seperate bookings in 2 seperate rooms over 2 nights. First room was good but the phone didn’t work, had no tea/coffee supplies or iron. Was a nice quiet location. Slept well. Couldn’t open curtains though as the window opened to the car park and car wash. Second room was apparently a deluxe. The only difference from the normal double was it had tea/coffee and an iron. I didn’t sleep well as I could hear doors slamming shut. Food was nice. I enjoyed breakfast mainly.

The walls were quite thin and we were woken up at 6am for a good couple of hours by people in and out of surrounding rooms and in the room next door to us. There was no staff at reception everytime we went to the front desk. The rooms were nice and the bathroom was lovely! Loved the shower.

First room 26 smelt of cigarettes and aftershave. Which maybe was supposed to mask the horrible smell. I ask about the towel rail coming on. I was told they come on twice a day. It didn’t. I moved room to 46 thanks to Alex on reception who was first class. Room 46 was much better however no heating. Alex brought me a portable heater. I had been working out in the rain and need to dry stuff off as the towel rail did not come on in this room either. Also when I came to have a shower in the evening. The water would only get to a tepid temperature. It was hot in the morning as I was up and out early. I am not sure if I will use this hotel again. Unfortunately what is going on with Covid is no excuse for these things. Regards John S..

The overall stay was satisfactory, disappointing that the feature entrance is not used to receive guests. The bed was in need of a new mattress and restaurant staff were short handed at busy times (one waitress attending to all tables, this was not good management and several guests left without being attended to. The poor waitress was getting extremely stressed, understandably, several of us reassured her we were happy with her service and not to stress as it wasn’t her fault. There was a noise above our room no53 not sure what this was. Carpets are in need of renewal and instructions for heating , television And WiFi should have been provided even with COVID-19. General signage was not clear, our taxi wasn’t sure where to go to drop us off, initially went to what should have been the main reception entrance.

Lovely hotel and grounds, room was cold and very noisy could hear conversations in the next door room people in the corridor room doors slamming late at night and early in the morning just not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. Service in the hotel bar was very slow as the staff was very busy with only one person serving everyone waited 1 hour for food. Tje price of the room was low but still service and rooms should still be good.

This was a two night stay for me and my partner for a visit to Harry Potter World, and our first visit to the hotel. The COVID precautions were very good and our check-in was very easy. We had booked a Superior Double room expecting a higher standard than the Classic rooms, so we were a little disappointed that the room was just slightly larger not better, but nonetheless it was a nice room. In hinsdsight we should have booked the Forest Suite. The service in the restaurant was excellent as was the quality of the food we ordered. We were impressed with the options on the menu and especially the availability of gluten free meals. On our first evening we were annoyed by another (inconsiderate) guest playing music loudly from an electronic device which interfered with the music being played through the restaurant system but the staff soon asked for that to be turned off. Back in the room there were no disturbances from outside so it was nice and quiet. The heating/air-conditioning was noisy but we only had it on long enough to heat the room to the temperature we liked. I wouldn't have wanted to keep it on through the night though. The bathroom was lovely although the shower flooded the one time we used it. I would however, definitely book a room here again.

Food staff and Covid guidance all great. Just so sad the usual luxury of dining and staying at the hotel was more sterile due to Covid. Understandable but sad. Our waitress was lovely and the chef went the extra mile as it was our anniversary piping a chocolate congratulations on our dessert plate. Lovely

Staff were amazing I think they deserve more credit for everything they do, they were very helpful, great to chat to and were happy to help. The food was delicious! Rooms were ok they were a little small, I expected them to be a bit bigger for the amount we were charged and especially for a superior barn suite! Beds weren’t very comfortable and walls are very thin I could hear other guests conversations which kept me up most of the night. Located close to a few lovely restaurants if you would like to go out for a meal and a 5 minute drive to Warner Bros Harry Potter Tour which is recommended as great day out. I was expecting more from the hotel’s facilities- I wouldn’t recommend using their swimming pool it didn’t look very hygienic and the changing rooms are mixed for men and woman which I don’t agree with; it looked like they did at some point have a hot tub but that’s been covered over now. Overall I think it was a ok hotel and the only reason I would go back there is for the outstanding service the staff provided.

Fantastic, and oooOOOO My god the food was well nice, One of the best fish and chips I ever had and I'm a chief. The room was very nice and clean and very updated, but there was a door to next room and we can here next door talking and there tv. That was ok for us, but we had to turn our tv volume down in respect to them.

The grounds are exceptional and the staff are brilliant, always willing to help, always smiling and bend over backwards for any request. Downside was the pool was closed for entire stay, rooms weren’t serviced and the food was mediocre.

No swimming pool Upgrade agreed over the phone not available as system had not been updated, initial room given was awful room moved to was slightly better but not promised upgrade. Cold showers. Paper thin walls. Heavy doors that banged loudly. Not the luxury stay we expected at all.
