The hotel was well situated and the the overall stay was good. However we had booked for a 2-course dinner with our stay. That was the worst mistake ever. Each and every night even when there were hardly any one else in the restaurant, it took then 1hr and 30 mins to serve us. It was the most ridiculous experience we have ever had. The menu was basic and the repetitive. We were appalled by how long it took over half an hour for the staff to take the order, an hour to serve drinks and 1.5 hrs to serve food. This had totally ruined our stay, as it was an reoccurring experience every night.

Have stayed for the last 4 weeks on and off, and the last week has been the worst, not the best staff, key cards don't work, give orders to bar staff for room service and gets forgotten about etc. It seems as they have got busier the service has gone down hill. Off to another hotel next week as they could not accomadate me as 'very busy' so wasn't satisfied they didn't even attempt to accommodate me.

Booked 6 rooms No AC in 2 Rooms were told we would be refunded but didn’t hear from the hotel. One room door would not lock so we’re left with no security or no other room to love to. Was told we would be refunded it’s been 2 weeks haven’t heard from the hotel. Left my charger called 1 hour after I left, hotel said they would look for it but never heard anything back. We’re supposed to have mock tails but the 7up machine at the bar wasn’t working they never told us and still used it and drinks were disgusting. But luckily they resolved by giving us Coke. Room keys kept disconnecting had to do 15 trips to recording to get the keys to work again.

Room key didn't work, went back to check in desk, nobody there besides another guest with the same issue, there was a note to call a mobile number, no answer when called, stood waiting in the lobby, lots of drunk people arguing and swearing at each other, finally got the key issue resolved, went into the room and was not impressed, family members were staying in a different room and despite the room types being the same there were clear differences, used soap in my room, bath mat unrolled and probably used, no second set of towels and toiletries as in their room. There was chaos in the corridors all night, was woken by shouting and drunken guests several times. The next morning, room key didn't work again, went to the desk, told them about the issue, not a single word uttered by the staff member, just put the key in the machine and handed it back, at 11.40 the fire alarm went off (presumably to wake any drunken guests up that may have overslept past the check out time of midday). The hotel itself is not the building shown in the images. It's at the side and is pretty much a basic budget hotel. The rooms were old and worn, no soundproofing, no view, no Netflix etc. Probably the worst 4 star hotel I've ever stayed in. Between the rooms, the customer service and likely 90% of the guests drunkenly partying all night it was an awful experience and not somewhere you should stay if you're taking your family to visit Harry Potter studios. Incredibly disappointing.

The room was slightly unclean and the room door would stick. The phone-line to reception wasn't working internally during our stay or externally to the hotel that week. There was a hand car wash operation directly outside the room window which was unexpected. The breakfast however was really lovely and the bed was comfy!!

the reception staff were very helpful. but the building itself is very tired and in need of a very good deep clean. the carpets in the general areas were filthy. the room number 53 was also not very clean and along with no toiletries and only 2 coat hangers just added to the poor experience.

Well the hotel is very perfect and the location but the rooms are too small even premier inn is better in terms of the room size taking into consideration the amount of money I paid. Secondly the telephone number 0 to call receptionist is waste of time because no one picks up

We arrived on time and were shown to our room. The room was clean but there were areas that were in bad condition. The window frames were very dirty and mouldy and the bottom of the bathroom door inside was peeling badly. We were unable to open our windows but others were open in the block. There was no information brochure on times for opening restaurant/bar etc . There was no remote control for the TV and we eventually noted that the controls were on the TV frame but were barely visible. The reception staff were very helpful but the bar and restaurant staff were obviously inexperienced.

Overall was lovely only criticism was the main evening meal. We had to wait over an hour. The pasta salmon was swimming in oil and the green thai curry sauce wasn’t nice at all. But the meal was changed.

A romantic tranquil night turnt onto a nightmare stay. The room was not what I had booked so false advertising. We wasn't even staying in the Manor as I had booked, but a small room in an extension which was grubby and small. Swimming pool was unsupervised, murky and plasters on floor. The grounds were taken up by 3 weddings to which we were told to move. No other space was provided so we decided to go out which defeated the entire relaxation stay. Totally upset and disappointed. Was told the manager would come to see us... this did not happen. Very very poor management . To top it off the dinner was of poor standard. The only positive thing about our stay was the staff were friendly but most of them were new so didn't know what to suggest. Very very disappointing on such a break we both intended on. Not cheap so money wasted.

on the website looks great, when you get to site its a great location for the Harry potter tour. then it goes down hill. there's no staff. the ones that are there are very very new and have had no training. they don't know how to operate any of the till equipment or payment methods. lots of poor customer facing activities such as swearing between friends behind the bar in earshot of the guests in the bar. I uncovered one over charging on my bill and i was told it would be re-funded - not happened yet 4 days later. I couldn't charge to my room as no one behind the bar or restaurant knew how to do it, now I'm finding multiple charges appearing on my bank account. I've tried to contact the hotel several times from the phone number on their website, it just rings out. the fax number on their website goes to a completely different company (Rich Bros)? I've tried to email them with this feedback and enquiry and still had no reply. very very poor service and this hotel will suffer if they don't resolve these issues.

My experience was a really let down . My room wasn’t ready had to wait . Was told someone from reception would advise me when it was ready never happened . Had to check with reception 40 mins later . Ordered afternoon tea . Usually it includes tea or coffee . We weren’t even given cutlery , so not sure how we were expected to eat it . Tried to contact the hotel . Was told I would be have a call back but never came . Now trying to resolve the situation through customer services who have asked the hotel to respond. STILL WAITING !!!

We were due to stay for a birthday but the event was cancelled. We still intended to stay and contacted the hotel for a food menu, never bothered getting back to us so we cancelled. Had too wait nearly a month for the refund. Hotel didnt take calls and 3 calls to customer services whonwerent that helpful. Hotel then claimed not to have bank details for refund. Now they ask for a review of my stay when we cancelled drinks of incompetence.

The room we stayed in Room 12, the a/c was not working, however the maintenance provided us with a fan but after some time, the fan was blowing out warm air, the carpet was dirty, the waitress delivered the straw to us with her hands and not on a try in this covid climate, the toilet bowl was stained, The hallway carpet was filthy, there was a terrible smell just before the pool area. particles in our drinks, waited a long time to be served our meal...20 minutes to receive a bill Mary served on the 15/7 and she was amazing!!!!. you should have more staff like Mary

This time I travelled by myself and went to Harry Potter. I was pleased to note that there are more staff at reception and they are very easy to locate if needed. I had a room upgrade which was a wonderful suprise. My one night stay was great and my room was clean,warm and comfortable. We had to wait in a cold corridor before we could be seated in the dining room for breakfast as there were no staff present. Another guest went to reception to inform them of this and then the waitress appeared from the kitchen and seated us. I still miss the bufffet breakfast, but I didnt have to wait too long for my breakfast to arrive. I enjoy walking around the grounds of the hotel and a great hotel to stay for visitng Harry Potter.
