Arrived to chaos at checkin, had checked in online, but site demanded I check in again and pay again despite showing them payment online so had to reclaim a double payment, Room did not match description was dirty and noisy, Generally a nasty place to stay,

The bed was uncomfortable. The walls were of such poor quality that I was awoken by the alarm clock of the customers in both sides of my room! The screw cap bottle of water in my room had been opened but appeared to be full.

We were treating my daughter to Harry Potter studios. We picked your hotel due to location and importantly it had a pool, she is an avid swimmer. We booked a weekend Friday through Sunday. Turned up and were told there were no swimming restrictions then got to pool to find it was shut due to lessons? Would reopen at 6.45pm... no good for 7 yr old who had to eat and sleep. So we had Harry booked in afternoon with evening meal afterwards, turned up at pool in the morning to find it was closed due to lessons? Until after 1pm, this was when we had to leave for our afternoon/evening appointments. We got back latish (8.30pm abouts) that night and were a bit hungry so stopped in bar for a drink and a portion of chips. After 30 mins and watching another couple polish off a 2 course meal we asked about our chips....which were on their way. I’m not sure where they Cosme from but it was another 30 mins on top before they arrived!! Overall a disappointing visit. However location to Harry Potter was great!

Friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast. I think the rooms whilst cleaned needed a bit more of a detailed clean. Side tables, corners in bathroom.

I wasn't going to leave a review but you seem so insistant. I booked a room nearly 6 months in advance using some of the last platinum member points I had. I chose the hotel due to its proximity to the Warner brothers studios approximately a week before our arrival I was informed there was an error in the booking and therefore had to move hotels to one 20 minutes drive away. I thought this to make a mockery of the guarantees my club membership apparently provides. After accepting the booking change as not to make a fuss we attended the alternative hotel. The hotel was ok but it was old, hot and the restaurant and bar quite expensive. The increase is distance to our destination changed our plan of attack for the weekend so instead of parking up in the hotel having some lunch and then wandering to the studios as we saw fit we found our selves driving round the area searching for places to pass the time. Overall the booking cancellation didn't ruin my weekend but it certainly soured it. It was handled in a polite manner I'm more irritated that there was no protection for being the highest level of le club accorhotels program.

I had some doubts about staying in the Hotel as there never seems to be family rooms that cater for 3 guests. I spoke to a very friendly receptionist, Esther who assured me they would put in an extra bed in the suite no53 in the stable block. I was told it would be a proper bed with a proper mattress. On entering the room I saw a metal “put you up” bed and laying on it was like laying on the floor. One of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. There were only towels, cups and mugs for 2. So I phoned reception to ask for the room to have the correct amount. If they have a booking for 3 people they need to ensure that 3 people are catered for. The toilet seat wasn’t fixed and moved about, the toilet roll holder fell off the wall as this wasn’t fixed properly. The shower didn’t have a shower mat to stand on and is very slippery when having a shower. It was also a race against time showering as the drainage wasn’t working properly and the shower tray was filling up with water on the point of overflowing. The hotel information booklet has different information regarding check out times and is different to what you are told at reception. When I saw information regarding pool opening times I was surprised to see that guests were not allowed to use the pool at certain times. When I asked reception about this they told me they would find out and let me know but they didn’t get back to me. As we were only staying for one night and wanted to have a swim on the Saturday morning and it would be closed to guests from 9a.m. to 1p.m we made the decision to use the pool before breakfast. I think it’s unfair to advertise a pool at a hotel but when you arrive you find out that there is restricted use. I really was unhappy about this as I chose the hotel because of the pool and the proximity to Warner Bros. Studio tour. Breakfast was really good and overall we had a good stay. The staff were friendly especially Esther on reception. I left the same feedback with them about the room and how I felt that £169 for one night was excessive for the quality provided.

Not impressed as when first booked had to re book as confirmation not confirmed when checked had not been booked in. Superior room has alot to desire! Paid while there then re took out on my credit card terrible mistake. Would not stay here again.

The hotel was nice on entrance. The room was very average and seemed a bit worn down such as the toilet door didn’t lock, marks on the walls etc. We called to reception a couple times from our room and never got an answer so had to walk there in the end and even then staff weren’t overly friendly which is something I would expect in a nicer hotel. Food was good and so was the heating in the rooms but anywhere outside of your room the hotel was very cold- I had my jacket on at dinner and would not want to sit outside my room for too long! It was just little things also- at dinner we were asked what drinks we would like and we hadn’t been given a drinks menu, then the waitress couldn’t even find a drinks menu to give us so we just sort of guessed the drinks you had and got the closest one to it.

Dead flowers in the Reception - not a good impression. Mold on the window frames Bottom of bathroom door broken wood In the "Bridal Suite" door led directly to boiler room and not locked this is appalling and a Health & Safety Issue The noise from other guests in the early hours of the morning was dreadful, when a complaint was put in nobody bothered to come and sort it out. Carpet did your eyes in it was so geometric throughout the hotel

Beautiful property and grounds, but bathroom issues that seemed to be in the plumbing of the property, meals were just okay, and the front desk staff literally locked up the paper and when we all checked out we had to rip off a sheet of notebook paper just to have them print us a receipt. That's really tacky when we're spending the money we were as a company.

The facility was not prepared to deal with the team in surge periods (breakfast, breaks, check-in/out) this created difficultly for everyone. The staff became agitated, the participants didn't get service (I went several breaks without a coffee because there were no cups). Also, the mens restroom next to the breakfast area smelled like someone died ALL WEEK. There is something wrong there.

I enjoyed the hotel and the grounds. The meeting rooms were quite cold during my stay. I have food allergies. A recommendation I would make would be to include some signage or indications on your buffet menu of food allergy accommodation/issues.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful but the hotel was generally very cold! Especially the restaurant, it felt like the air conditioning was on full blast, apparently there is no heating ! This spoilt our evening meal and diners were wearing their coats ! Same again for breakfast, also the cooked breakfast could have been hotter and as the plates were not heated the food quickly got cold. Such a shame would not recommend this hotel to friends.
