Firstly we went in to our room and the heater wasn’t working then the guy managed to sort it out and move us to another room. Then we moved to another room and the hot water wasn’t working we didn’t end up saying anything till check out as we really didn’t have to move rooms again. So we left around 10:00 as we couldn’t even shower!

I would appreciate if someone would reply to my 2 emails that I have sent to the hotel manager regarding my stay at your hotel last weekend, there was no heating in our room we reduced the thermostat down to 21 as advised but still did not work,the guy on reception provided us with a small heater but we had to turn off after a while as it made our throats very dry and obviously these heaters are not designed for room use,we were absolutely freezing and barely slept as we were so cold, I informed the guy on reception at checkout of this and he said he was only authorised to deduct 20% off our room rate but would inform the manager of our very disappointing experience,I feel this was an unacceptable gesture as it totally ruined our stay and feel very upset as this was a very special occasion.

Stayed here for a couple of nights after attending our son's wedding. Staff looked after us very well despite having to adhere to strict Covid restrictions (never eaten so many 'subsrantial' meals in order to have a celebratory drink!) Room was in the stable block and was very comfortable with a beautiful bathroom and great shower. The heating could have been turned up a notch and you definitely need curtains on the window as there's no privacy during the day when the blind is up. All in all, a great stay over a very special weekend. Particular thanks to bar & restaurant staff. We would return again without hesitation.

Cold, no atmosphere, no music, lack of communication with the booking team and no resources to make our stay a good one. We would have preferred not to waste our voucher here!

Everywhere very clean, staff very helpful, our room was good and the bed comfortable. But, the restaurant was very cold and the very nice breakfast barely warm. Shame as the breakfast was well cooked.

This time I travelled by myself for my Harry Potter trip. It was good to see more staff available at reception and that they are easy to locate if needed. I had a room upgrade which was warm,clean and comfortable. We had to wait in a cold corridor to be seated for breakfast as there were no staff available. A hotel guest went to reception to ask for help and the waitress then came out from the kitchern area. I feel that maybe to have two staff members at this time, as they used to have, one waitress does not appear to be enough for the breakfast rush. I still miss the breakfast buffet, my breakfast arrived and I enjoyed it all. Another great stay at this lovely hotel.

A great stay again for my Harry Potter trip.

This time I travelled by myself and went to Harry Potter. I was pleased to note that there are more staff at reception and they are very easy to locate if needed. I had a room upgrade which was a wonderful suprise. My one night stay was great and my room was clean,warm and comfortable. We had to wait in a cold corridor before we could be seated in the dining room for breakfast as there were no staff present. Another guest went to reception to inform them of this and then the waitress appeared from the kitchen and seated us. I still miss the bufffet breakfast, but I didnt have to wait too long for my breakfast to arrive. I enjoy walking around the grounds of the hotel and a great hotel to stay for visitng Harry Potter.

Where do I start. Normally give the benefit of the doubt. Had read reviews which were not too good. Room was very small although we upgraded Holes in the wall Bed frame was visually ripped It took hours to get more toilet roll. Had to call reception numerous times The list continues

I was misinformed of the hotel I was booking. I arrived to the hotel where I didnt have my reservation. The lady told me to cancel my booking and I would get a refund and to pay again at reception although it was more expensive. The next day the reception told me that they had no idea and that they couldnt refund and it was up to the other hotel and that he will double check with his colleague. In the end I had to get booking.com to sort this out which they did kindly and efficiently unlike the staff at this hotel. Never staying again.

Very difficult and unsatisfactory experience. I booked via email, and as requested, I called up to provide my bank details. I was told I would then receive confirmation of my booking, but this was not received. I called on the day of the booking and after initially being told by Reservations that they couldn’t find my booking and being on hold for 10 mins, I was able to confirm my booking. On arrival, I was told they didn’t have my card details? That was just the beginning. Room service was overpriced considering it looked and tasted like frozen meals just put in the oven (pizza, and salt and pepper squid). We had no hot water on the second night - we were told there were issues with the boiler in the morning but it should have been fine by the evening. It was not. There was no atmosphere in the hotel. Dinner in the bar was ok, except for the news on the television downstairs competing with the bar music. We were told we needed to book a 50 min slot to use the pool - we were assured it would be just us and they used the 10 min between bookings to clean the area. We were therefore very surprised when we turned up for our booking that there were two other groups in the pool at the same time.

The photo on website shows beautiful old house. We were put in a souless, unwelcoming COLD annex. No lift which made it difficult to carry luggage when you have bad knees.

After our long drive down & a fantastic afternoon at the Warner Brothers studio. We arrived at the hotel around 7pm & there was plenty of parking. Staff on reception were very friendly & helpful. Rooms were a good size, clean, nice size bathroom & a pleasant comfy bed. In the morning we went for a swim in the pool, which was clean & decent size. Got back to our rooms & enjoyed our late checkout before the long drive home.
