I booked in for two nights for a work trip. The Mercure offering was sub-standard and unsatisfactory. Arrived after 8pm and discovered that the room I had been allocated had: - no internet or signal available in the room - the fridge didn't work - booked a double but got a twin - bedside lamp didn't work - given no internet or phone signal, there no work centre with internet access to work from in the meantime which meant i was literally working from my car in the carpark. After working with the wonderful Espie at reception who advised they were booked out, she found a solution which meant I would be reallocated to two different rooms for each night of my stay. Had to pack up after night 1 and then on coming back on night 2, was thankful my luggage etc was in the new room but discovered that yet again I'd been allocated a twin room and that there were no towels, bathmat, hand towels or washers provided which meant I couldn't shower before going out for a team dinner. Very disappointing overall. The staff were great to problem solve however they shouldn't have to problem solve in the first place.

The cost per night is quite expensive at £250 per night. When I called to reconfirm my booking and asked about breakfast times, I was advised that there was no restaurant but that there were cafes a short walk away. I was never told that the RSL next door would be open for breakfast for Mercure guests. I and another guest found this out some days later.

An excellent and very comfortable place to stay in Orange..We would always stay here. One thing that surprised us that seemed out of place at the Mecure was the really dirty unkempt stairs leading from next to the office to our room.

The hotel is perfectly located and within walking distance of many of the “must visit” sites of Orange. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable, and the staff are very welcoming.

Great location close to shops, supermarkets and RSL club. Good facilities and the room was just right for us. We had a great time exploring the Orange region and plan to return next year for another visit - and yes we will stay again at the Mercure!!!
