I stayed 4 nights at Novotel Leicester. My room reservation was done for a Superior King Size Bed Room by my company, PepsiCo. When I checked in, the receptionist gave me a Standard Room Twin Bed Room! I was too tired due to an overbooked flight and waited 15 hours in the airport so I just slept at first night so as not to be in any discussion. I called reception times and times, to request laundry bags because they did not exist in the room, and it was really hard to reach out to them! Anyway, I walked down to request directly the laundry bag, the receptionist mentioned that "if you have the laundry request paper, laundry bag should be there. Just check I know it should be there" Can I be stupid? I was saying "There was not any bag, I checked in detail" but she insisted "No, it should be there". In the end, there was no bag in the room and before sleeping I requested to have it because in the morning around 6 a.m. I would leave the hotel. But guess what? I waited 3 hours! During this period, I also called reception to request water and slippers as well. Just my luck, they answered in 3rd one. but the answer was just "Your room is not in that classroom and we do not provide water and slippers to your room". One day after, Aman Sirpal, proposed to ask their housekeeping team to convert your room to a Double bedroom instead of a twin which was an AMAZING IDEA, right? They got superior room payment but were given a twin-bed standard room. I did not accept because I had the same reservation as my colleague and the room for her was Executive Room. When I said that "this was unacceptable, our assistant was also researching why I faced this issue; Aman Sirpal, proposed to change my room to the Executive Room with water slippers and a bathrobe for you. I should not have been in that conversation. I should not have spent my time fixing these issues. Novotel Leicester just tired me. And the last one, on my 3rd night, there was a dirty towel in my room and they put this towel in my room as a clean! I just sent the photo via e-mail to Aman Sirpal not to be in any more discussion with your team in Novotel Leicester but it was really really unsatisfied accommodation.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. My night team were right in not providing water and slippers as we were unaware of the issue at that point however there is no excuse for missing laundry bag in the room and I have taken this up with my head housekeeper who was very apologetic about the issue this caused. After your conversation with Aman, we believed everything was sorted as you sent a thank you email to Aman thanking him for resolving the issue. Also, can you please remove Aman's name from your review as this is not his fault and his name should not be used publicly with his permission. At Novotel, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Generally high standards but some misses

Room 215 had no desk or chair, just a gap where they could have been. Window was narrow and looked out onto a blank wall 3m away with no visible sky. Apart from these issues the standard of the finish was good and breakfast was good.

Hotel is in great location in Leicester - very close to the centre of town. Modern, well maintained hotel with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent and the gym, while small, has lots of equipment.

Great friendly check in. Room clean and comfortable. Everything you need and modern. Bar area great service and breakfast, well you could not ask for more options. All the staff could not be more friendly.If I had to find anything wrong, it would be there is no sign in the car park to point you in the direction of the hotel which isn't viable from the car park. But totally a minor thing.
