Clean and quiet place for quarantine

We arrived from the USA and spent 5 nights in quarantine. The junior suite was perfect for us - the internet was stable enough, the beds were comfortable, the bathtub had plenty of hot water, amenities were refilled upon request, meals were delivered on time even though the food was very simple and was often served cold. After quarantine was finished we moved to the 7th floor for one night and although the room was nice, the internet was poor.if we had stayed any longer we would have asked for another room with better internet. We would recommend this hotel for quarantine — but probably best to chose the junior suite. If you must choose your menu with the Covid packet, the Western food seemed better than the Asian food. You can call reception before noon to request any items you might need from a nearby mini mart. Someone from the hotel will purchase the items and deliver them to your room in the afternoon, at which time you will pay them for the items. No online orders delivered to the hotel are allowed by the guests and you are not allowed to leave the room for the duration of the quarantine. If you want to order food off the menu, in addition to your Covid packet meals, and you don’t have rupiah cash the. you will need to call reception so an employee can bring the credit card machine up to the room for you to “open” an account. Then you can charge room service to your room number and simply pay for everything using that credit card when you check out. The hotel has been recently renovated and it’s very nice even though it’s located in a very old part of the city. Only 30-40 min from the airport it is a short walk to many historic sites that date back to the Dutch Colonial Era: several museums and cafes. I would recommend walking to the Batavia Cafe in Fatahillah Square. I must say that Zulfa Roslani was a great help from the beginning of the process! I contacted the email address on the govt list of approved hotels for Mercure Batavia and Zulfa was very prompt to respond and answered all my questions. For booking a quarantine reservation I only had to send Zulfa a copy of our passports and itinerary (arrival date/time). No DP was necessary. Thank you, Zulfa, for your kind and professional assistance which helped make our quarantine stay as pleasant as possible.

The building and appearance of this hotel is very unique with the old colonial style. The lobby is also very spectacular. My check in process is very fast and easy. From the website i choose the room with unique room and unique shape of window, but unfortunately the room is closed. So I choose the available room there. My room was superb. beyond my imagination. The bathroom was large and excellent with hot water running freely, Also the amenities is perfect. My bedroom was amazing with a large bed, clean linen and the pillows was huge and fluffy. The food was excellent and also the WiFi connection was very fast. I bring my work with my laptop and it can be finished in a flash time. Proficiaat to Mr. Djati A.Wijaya. Je hebt een prachtig hotel met geweldige faciliteiten, ook iutstekend personeel. Ga zo door met je goede werk. Ik hou van verblijf in je hotel

The only minus point is the room service. It's hard to get connected to room service by phone, we have to call over and over and over again. Once we have told them what we need, they never come. This is the ONE AND ONLY hotel when i dont get my simple request (eating utensil) delivered. And it happens not just once, but 3 times. WELL DONE Everything else is great.

Staff very polite and professional. Room has dust especially around corners and beds. Need more than just vacuum. Need wipe down thoroughly. Food is hit and miss. Most days same chicken drumstick with just different sauce.

My quarantine stay with Mercure Batavia was amazing! The room is very clean and comfortably for my quarantine cum business activities during my 6 days. I'd experienced excellent hotel staff services especially dedicated to Ms. Steffanie who helped me from registration and check out even she provided me helpful info about Jakarta foods and other value added info. She is one of the best hotel staff i have ever met.

I was part of the quarantine program and chose to stay at Mercure Batavia. New renovated rooms and lobby. Everything was great except the room service has a very limited menu choices and not the best food.

The time I entered my room 901 on the 19th, the floor corner moldy and dustry, bathroom rusty! Towel smelly, Service was very bad ( I requested from the reception on the 24th to buy me something from the market /snacks at 10.30am after many hours waiting I called the reception and picked my call after several called made at 5.30pm. after 10 minutes my ordered send to my room, duty manager was taking my request that time! I left your hotel unhappy since then no more request, so far not recommended!!

My husband and I were staying in the Mercure Hotel Batavia for our quarantine time. At first we paid 10.300 mio, but then somebody told me that she WNI stayed in the same hotel with her husband which also WNA and paid only 8.800 mio (for full board service), I complained about that but they insisted and said that the 8.800 mio rate is valid for WNI only. Second, I re-read my email with the hotel representative and she said in the beginning the rate for us two is 10.100 mio, meanwhile I got the rate 10.300 mio from the admin of Mercure Batavia’s Instagram and she said just directly contact her via WA if I wanted to book for quarantine, and I did that. At that time I didn’t realize that the other person from the email gave me the cheaper rate. And again I complained about it, why they gave me different rates and they said that the cheaper rate is not valid anymore in May, which actually doesn’t really make sense because I asked both of them about the rate at the same month in April. But I just didn’t say anything anymore because I didn’t want to take it over a problem. The last was the catering food from the hotel package was awful for the price that we paid, and we decided not to keep getting the catering meal from the hotel and ordered the room service instead. I asked to cancel my catering package and nicely they agreed on it. Now I’m just waiting for the refund for my canceled meal package. Plus: We really liked the room, it was clean and pretty big.

The food was not that good ... it was cold 95% of the time ... maybe put microwave in rooms ... and maybe you could have forms to fill in for the next day with a choose of two things EG ... breakfast... 2 to choose from Lunnch ... chicken or meat eg beef vegetables or salad And maybe juice on the morning And more fruit

My first impression, the room was spacious and clean including the bathroom. complete facilities but there is a smell a bit like rotten eggs from the bathroom drain, anyway overall the results are good at an affordable price

An old hotel that has been renovated very well, the old building has been turned into a modern hotel, the location is near the old Jakarta area with many museums and old style culinary, the rooms are comfortable and pleasant, feels like home

Nice Hotel for staycation

I love the design of this hotel, It was located actually near kota area where you can go to Fatahilah garden with just a walking distance. I was there for staycation so just enjoying the hotel all the time. The room pretty spacious my view is the garden, which pretty well care in my opinion. At first my AC was not as cold as expected but once the engineer come the temperature got better. Was having a nice experience there. Thank you.
