Mercure Koh Samui Beach Resort 4 stars

I was allowed to sped 6 days in this beautiful holiday complex on the lamai beach. this property is for peace seekers und families especially recommendet, The rooms are functional and well equipped with every comfort. in the complex there is a large swimming pool, fitness center, restauran, bar and lobby. The staff iv very friendly and fulfilled almost all wishes to beautify the stay in the wellkept facility. The hotel is located at 45 minutes from the airport. For 700 THB, about 20 Euro the hotel organizes the transfer from the airport to the hotel. There are regulare free shuttle to lamai center 10 minutes away, where i recommend a visit with many shopps, baar, restaurant, etc.

Overall hotel is nice although does need upgrading. A lot of steps all around so I guess it’s not handicap friendly.Breakfast was pretty standard fare and limited, maybe due to low season.However great for us and we just wanted to relax by the beach and do nothing.

We stayed one night at the end of a holiday The hotel itself was fine, but very quiet/empty it seemed. The villa we booked was ok but the interior is showing its age and could do with some updating. Staff were very friendly despite some easy to overcome language barriers. Maybe when the hotel is busier it has more going for it but we were glad to only stay one night for this reason

Room was noisy from traffics outside and in my room was a lot of ants everywhere. But the staffs were very friendly and helpful. This hotel is far from the centrum.You need to rent a motorcycle or a car.

Just spent 6 nights at the Mercure Lamai with my family. Wow, Peter and his staff gave us warm friendly welcome and were always on hand to make sure we were ok. Breakfast on the terrace, cocktails by the pool bar at Happy hour, lovely big pool overlooking the sandy beach and sea. Villas were luxurious. We had a lovely time, thank you Peter, family will be forever remembering our stay with you at Lamai.

Incredibly bad in most aspects. Very old. Everything is torn. Need hard-core renovation. Is this actually under “Mercure” or “Accor” world-class brand? It can’t even compare to IBIS brand, which is way way cheaper. It is probably the first and the last time I visit this property.

We enjoyed our stay the Mercure Koh Samui. We ended up in a villa type of accomodation with our own private courtyard. The breakfast is your average fare. So was most of the food, although the pizza’s were pretty good. I think the staff uniforms could do with an update(maybe something in Thai silk). Staff aren’t that good at speaking English either. Otherwise a nice location but be warned you will need shoes to swim in at the beach as there are plenty of sharp rocks in the ocean. Also it’s in the town of Lamai, not in Chaweng which is about a 25 min drive away. Another thing I should mention is that the hotel is right on the main road, lots of traffic noise, especially in the rooms at the front of the hotel

A bit of a classic feel to the pool area , the water is beautiful to be in and a lovely temperature. The resort is not new but comfortable and relaxing,in a location handy to Lamai town. Hot water system was a bit unreliable but response from staff was prompt.

I love the upgraded room with the Sea view. The hotel staffs are very nice and friendly. The room is clean but the bathroom needs more scrubbing esp the corners of the wall in the shower area. The beach is nice except I realize that from a distance is where the canal or maybe the sewage goes to the beach. The pool area is nice and the staff at the bar are pleasant for food requests. Breakfast is okay not much choices but I have been in other hotels in Thailand and just the same. If you do not want to eat at the hotel, they provide a free shuttle to the Lamai center which is great. I love my stay because of the surprise birthday cake they gave me which made my stay perfect. Thank you for the great service and friendly pleasant staff.

I stayed in the sea-view room on the fourth floor.The room is spacy but no elevator;therefore it's not good for elderly people. The hot water in the shower is difficult to adjust, also the wash basin. The wifi signal is good. The breakfast doesn't have so many varieties. The parking space is limited. The fitness room has only 3 equipments.

Perfect place to rest & recharge. Friendly customer service and great food. Great location. We stayed in a private villa. Staff were helpful. Rooms a good size. Definitely recommend the massages too with ocean views.

nice hotel to chill out and relax either at the pool or on the beach where you get a nice breeze.found the breakfast to be nice with good choice of food .rooms where nice although we had a problem with our coffee machine which was replaced with a kettle a little problem?

Positive : staff very nice, cleaness, location, discounts at the pool bar (cocktail of the day, happy hours, etc.) Negative: The breakfast when you come after 9 AM nothing is left to eat except eggs -at 6am, you can have a good breakfast, but the issue they never refill something when it is consumed..-, never try a banana milk shake at the bar -they basically put in the mixer the milk with "ice cubes" and it gets no taste after-, the door of the room wasn't opening properly -sometimes i needed 5mins trying to open the door-, the hot water doesn't work properly -you need to set up very hot water, wait for it, once it comes, you have 30 seconds to set up your temperature and use the water after you need to set it up again, wait for it to come and continue like that-
