Had a great stay here. Room is small but we already expected this of Japanese hotels. We opted to book the hotel directly on Accor hotels website with membership rate and with free cancellation. We are a couple and chose the Standard Room with 2 single beds. If you compare, Standard room with 2 single beds is 18sq.m. as compared to 15sq.m. for Standard room with 1 double bed. Although of course the former will be a bit pricier than the latter room. As you can see in the photos, the two single beds are positioned next to each other. Direct basement access to Whity Umeda (lots of food and shopping options) and train stations is very convenient. Hotel check-in is earlier at 2pm and check-out is later than usual at 11am. Other hotels have 10am hotel check-out when compared. Luggage can be left at the concierge when you arrive earlier than the check-in time and also upon check-out if you wish to do some last minute sight-seeing before your flight home. There’s a water dispenser near the front desk. 7/11, Sukiya is just a few meters walk. And it’s near the Limousine bus at Hankyu Mall if going or coming from Kansai airport. Near Hep Five too.

After 14 hours travel from Sydney one tend to lose your bearing upon arrival at the gigantic Osaka train station; even reading a map could be quite a challenge. In the end I decided to catch a cab to reach the Ibis Umeda & what a relieve it was & it only cost me Y500. The taxis in Japan are the best in the world bar none. I couldn't get an early check in because the hotel was probably booked solid, so I just left my luggage at the hotel and started wandering around until 2pm. Once my sense of direction returns then I realise that I made the right choice in terms of location & all the great places to eat and shop. My room is about 15-18 sqm but it's clean & functional. Basically it's got everything I need. The centrally controlled heater/air-con is a tad too warm for my liking because I got too much natural body heat and I am not a summer person. But overall it's just spot on & I had a very restful stay.

The rooms were not only clean, but so comfortable. The bed was probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in! They also have an entrance directly from the underground metro station which is very convenient. Also, the air conditioning in the room worked SO well
