We arrived to a room that had hair and a bottle cap in the tub, the mini bar wasn't replaced and the coffee machine was broken. We were also meant to receive a welcome amenity, which we did not - while other members of our party did. When I brought it up to the front desk they said nothing about it. It was overall pretty disappointing.

When checking in, the experience was beautiful as it was our first time there. Everything was explained to us and we really enjoyed it. We loved the fact that there were many options of dining different restaurant. I especially loved the Indian Cuisine at the OSA restaurant (service was 100%). The food was out of this word. Excellent service from reception to every staff member we met, we were met with smiles all the time. I will definitely go back anytime.

Stay was lovely as usual Only problem we had with the concierge is that they took too long to bring out bags to the room when we arrived & we were rushing to use the pools We had to make 2/3 calls before our bags finally arrived but overall our stay at Fairmont is always lovely

I stayed at Zimbali many times in the past and had great expectations for our stay. The check-in experience was good. Rooms are large with beautiful sea views and large balconies. Breakfast was a buffet only and extremely busy. Ran out of green tea. The Osa restaurant was disappointing. Cheesecake was inedible which they kindly did not charge us for. No Hotel Manager in sight to see to guests needs. The Willow Spa was disappointing. You walk through the gym to go to the treatment rooms. My masseur was not experienced at hot stone massage. Overall there are better, more luxurious hotels if you are a couple looking for a luxury, more intimate experience,

Many things missing from 5 star experience: 1. Had to ask for a welcome drink at reception (which is not on) 2. Service staff asked us for money when they came to prepare our beds. We refused, so she clearly neglected to put chocolates on our pillow (after showing us that she had chocolates in her hand). 3. Staff at breakfast did not appear to be that well trained with handling cutlery and crockery.

It has been an amazing experience, hotel accomodation was tops, great spacious rooms, except for the cleaners who failed to replensih consumables used in the rooms, but did so upon request and reminders, breakfast at Coral Tree was awesome, just the waitrons took ages to clean up teh tables making it available for guest waiting to be seated, food spread was great, however, the dinner buffet at the Coral Tree was not impressive at all, food was not good at all, did the buffet dinner once and was very disappointed. The pools were amazing especially the main hotel pools, that was pure relaxation, amazing service from the towels to food and drinks, the resort was clean at all times, such a pleasure taking walks to the beach and around the resort, staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I Personally enjoyed my 6 night stay at Fairmont Zimabli Resort and so did my family. I will definitely be back.

The room we slept at the aircon was leaking . We reported the incident at arrival and Sunday morning and unfortunately on my return from Sunday breakfast I slipped and fell . Pls note I’m 22 weeks pregnant. We then spoke to Person who was in charge then think his name was Mr Mgobhozi.
