I really love this hotel. I stay at 5-star hotels for work all over the world, and I think this is a little gem (main courtyard). So much beauty, history and a great atmosphere. It really is special. I would be very happy to come back. I have a few concerns though: 1) wifi - for work I really need perfect wifi. Norfolk wifi is not perfect - it's not horrible, but not quite good enough. This is not unusual for hotels in Africa, but I urge you to work on this. 2) plumbing, air con, etc. I had a full day of the maintenance crew working on the minibar, a water leak, weak air conditioning. The staff quickly offered to move me, and I should probably have said yes, but I liked my room (view, breeze, balcony) and was under a deadline so said no. In the end it was no bother for me, but if I had been there with my wife and kids it might have been more of an issue (well we had probably just moved as offered). The Norfolk is a historic hotel, so I think its understandable that it's a little more wonky - some of us even find that charming - but that's only true up to a point.

The hotel was very nice and the staff very welcoming. I had stayed at the Norfolk 30 years ago and have to say it still retains the character I remember from the 1990’s.
