What a great hotel. Wonderful atrium with excellent decor and space. Minimalist and marvellous. Rooms spacious and luxurious. Comfortable bed and great lighting. No reason to complain here. To do so would be petty. A bit out of the way but perfect.

Strangest Global Hotel Experience

Probably one of the strangest experiences at a hotel. American family traveling throughout Europe. The staff was despondent and appeared to be uncomfortable with teenagers. The bartender was pretty alright and tried to find us service as we had been previously to Paris, etc. the strange thing was the “ghost” pool. I.e, they sent us on phantom journeys to find the pool which never materialized. The road to nowhere. Very awkward.

Large Luxury Hotel

This is a very large luxury hotel, with large rooms and bathrooms equipped with both a shower (a bit of a squeeze, however) and bathtub. The rooms are equipped with luxury amenities and a refrigerator. I also found the rooms very quiet, although overheated for sleeping. The staff was generally very competent and efficient, if a tad bit snooty at times. Because this is such a large establishment, there is an overwelming sense of vastness, so if you are looking for a more intimate sense of luxury, this is not the place. However, the hotel is conveniently located close to a metro station, so it's easy to get to central Barcelona, and there are places of interest close by as well. The views are quite nice as well.

bevenseedk Families - TripAdvisor review

We booked a room for two adults and our twins with at the time were one and a half year old. The room was in the higher price range because it should fit our needs with two toddlers. When booking we specifically wrote that we would need two cribs for our twins. This was accepted by the hotel and we didn’t received any other messages from them. Though on arrival the lady in the reception told us that only one crib could be installed in the room due to other furniture taking up space. When asking why we wasn’t notified about this when booking and specifically noting that we would need two cribs she couldn’t give us and answer. Instead she tried selling us a one of the biggest suites in the hotel with an additional cost of 1600€ a night. We ofcourse refused this and then let one of the kids sleep in our bed and the other in the crip. When coming to the room we saw that it was quite spacious and there could easily have been installed a second crip with a minimal of moving a chair. The room was though nice and with a stunning view of the city. The bathroom was another story. The sink was clogged, the ceiling around the showerhead was moldy and the toilet wasn’t attached to the floor which ment that it almost tipped every time you sat down. We notified the staff about this the same afternoon as we arrived and reminded them about it every day through our stay. We were numerous times told that it would be fixed immediately, but it wasn’t done while we were staying there. On the positive side, the room was cleaned perfectly every day. The hotel and the surroundings are fantastic. The pools are great and with eminent service. Actually the best thing this hotel has going is a lot of hard working service people trying to make up for the lack of the hotel and their managers performance.
