Location, location, location. No doubt about that. It's unique. We stayed at the Fairmont for 3 nights while exploring the Charlevoix area with an excursion to Les Escoumins to see whales. Like I told the hotel already, they need to upgrage the installations to bring it to this century. Don't get me wrong, the hotel has a unique charm and the service is excellent. I cant't comment much on the food except for breakfast which is adequate but could more elaborate. That's what you expect in an Accorn resort. Overall our stay was memorable and I would go back anytime.

We had booked this hotel for part of a 40th anniversary trip after seeing the amazing reviews. Unfortunately this was not our experience. Our room was lovely. A great view and very clean and well appointed. But the hotel had a convention and were very short staffed in all areas. Dinner the first night was very slow with missing cutlery, unavailable wine from the wine list, missing food items and a very long wait for anything. There was no waiter service to the terrace and a 20 minute queue to collect your own drink from the bar.Not the sort of service we had expected. We did complain at the time but it appeared that staff had been allocated to the convention functions leaving the hotel understaffed.The inside terrace room was also closed in the afternoon for a wedding. A real shame.

A romantic weekend at Manoir Richelieu. A beautiful site, particularly in Fall. Valet service on site and the hotel is only 5min from downtown La Malbaie, where all the best restaurants are located. Would go again for the location!

We stayed at this great hotel from September 14th to September 18th with another couple and we just loved the experience, from the arrival to the departure. We went to all the restaurants and bar as well as the golf club house. The food was excellent and the staff was amazing everywhere. The rooms were very well appointed and the housekeeping staff was outstanding. The employees at the front desk were very helpful. We are highly recommending this beautiful hotel. Andree et Armand

We stayed September 4-7, based on reviews we had mixed feelings too. When arrived greeted with smile at door, went to reception where we met Roxanne who was pleasant and friendly. She even took the time to look around and found us a best room ( probably because I’m an Accor gold member). House keeping was amazing always, special thanks to Diana! We had enough tea since we don’t drink coffee, also enough water. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, truly amazing Bellerive cafe -Claudia who was amazing and friendly and fun. She made us a very nice hot chocolate ( Italian 😋😋) also everything here was tasty and healthy. Laurent ( concierge) who we met on our 2day, from meeting him everything went from ok to extremely enjoyable. He was very pleasant and friendly. Thanks to Laurent we did Maverick Sport Side-by-Side 2-seater. We dearly appreciated his level service!! Bar- wasn’t very impressed but staff tried their best. Could’ve been lot better comparing with other Fairmont facilities. Overall enjoyed the stay, special thanks to Laurent, Roxanna and Claudia for making our stay more memorable.
