The room was small but clean. Went down for breakfast and closed at 9.30. Glad as the staff were quite short with us. No eggs nothing! Lucky as we found a great little friendly coffee shop.

From booking & online check in to the reception staff and then to our room..... all were of high standard. Then buffet breakfast the following morning and check out all were of a high standard. Rooms were clean and adequate for our overnight stay.

The hotel was very clean and central so it was perfect for our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. I think for the price that some breakfast should be included, I was a bit surprised that it was not. WiFi was very fast and reliable and everything else during our stay ran smoothly and efficiently.

The bed was nice, but I was a bit shocked to see that I did not have any wardrobe/cupboard to hang my clothes, or a phone to contact reception. Additionally, there was a stain on my sheets after housekeeping had tidied my room, and when I asked for fresh sheets, I was handed them and told to make up the bed myself? Have not experienced this in any of my travels before.

The room was really small and not clean. The quality of the breakfast was really low. We ate there only once even though breakfast was included in the price.

Stayed for 3 nights. Tried to check in at 11-ish AM but the receptionist said that I had to pay $20 for it. Disappointed. I thought it would be better if the hotel would allow the customers to check in earlier if there’re available rooms as a complimentary. Decided to ask the receptionist to keep my luggage first as I had to go somewhere. Checked in around 5PM easily and when I got into the allocated room, it wasn’t perfectly cleaned. Dusty. Small rubbish on the floor. Used toilet paper inside the loo. Too tired to ask for a replacement so I let it go. The next 3 days were okay. Nothing special. Overall, location-wise, it was great. 5 mins walking distance to tram stop. Close to Carlton area where all the good foods are. But nothing special from the hotel itself.

The experience was satisfactory. I have stayed at the Ibis in Little Lonsdale Street and the room was bigger. So the room was a bit too small for a Queen bed. No room on the window side to get into bed and being older we needed that. Tea and sugar were not replaced had to continually ask for more. No room for 2 cases if a couple is staying together which we were. I do floor exercises and stretches each day. It was very hard as there was no carpet. But the bed was very comfortable. Great shower, good facilities with hairdryer etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Can't fault the staff. They were friendly, professional and just great! The rooms were pretty poor though. Small for the price, pillows flat, bed uncomfortable, much better rooms for the price.

The stay was adequate, the air conditioning in the room was quite loud which made sleeping a bit difficult. When I checked out the lady behind the desk didnt even make eye contact to acknowledge me When I checked in I ticked the box to say I did want want to be sent follow up emails and am now responding to a third email about the survey which is frustrating and has put me off staying at an ibis again despite the stay itself having been fine.

First 2 nights I 'put up' with the very loud tram noise on Swanston Street. With the room window open the noise seemed to be continuous. When I moved to an interior facing room the noise was almost nil.
