I had a long layover between flights in Dubai. I actually had +/-18 hours between flights so i booked two nights so i could ensure an early check, +/- 09:00, and not have to wait for the normal check in at 15:00. I booked the hotel through the travel agency which i have used for years. Upon arrival at the hotel the check in clerk told me the “travel agent” had cancelled my reservations as i had not put down a deposit. I found this unlikely as the agency has my credit card on file however anything can happen so i asked if she had rooms available that i could pay directly for, to which she responded that i should contact my travel agency. I informed her that was unlikely to happen as my travel agent is based in the US and it would be midnight or so there. The check in clerk kept saying it was best that i contact the travel agent. After +/- 15 minutes i asked to see the manager, who upon arrival at the desk also seemed to not understand my request at first. After another +/-15 minutes they finally said yes there were rooms available and started the check in process. Negatives took 30 minutes to check in lamp at bedside and tablenot working Positive points friendly staff room/bed/bathroom appeared clean safe was in the room and working had a chair and small table to work on relatively close to airport

Everything exceeded expectations! The suite was exceptionally clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Shehab and Ms. Alaa. The breakfast was delicious, and overall, it was a great value. The location is perfect, very close to the airport. Highly recommended!

During my recent stay at the Grand Mercure Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed by the impeccable housekeeping standards. The rooms were spotless, well-organized, and refreshed daily with great attention to detail. A special mention goes to room attendant ISLAM, He ensured my room was always pristine, restocked amenities promptly, and even left thoughtful touches that made my stay extra comfortable.
