Sadly, this isn't the positive review I'd have hoped to leave. The positive - the young man on reception was amazingly helpful on check in and check out. The bedroom itself was clean. But that's where it ends. The bar staff, leisure staff, restaurant staff just seemed to lack knowledge and seemed very disorganised. We were given a bottle of prosecco at room temperature from the cupboard and told it will chill in a bucket of ice. No, it does not chill a whole bottle of prosecco! The floor in the dining room of the orangery needs someone to get on their hands and knees and clean the dam thing. It was filthy, and not just from 1 day of dirt. In the bedroom, the bathroom dispenser for body wash was completely empty... who does that? I won't be back, and won't be recommending anyone to go. Sorry.

Stayed for two nights in the Hall itself. It feels special staying over in this part of the hotel and the room I had was fabulously big and grand. The other side of the coin however was that the room was bitterly cold, with me sleeping in a dressing gown! Many of the buildings on the estate have been converted into accommodation which caters for all types of occassions which is great. My negative is that in the winter, its a shame non of these buildings are connected inside so u don't have to go out into the cold!

Very enjoyable stay. Lovely location and attentive staff . Only issue was coldness of room. Cold AIr Con on full blast on arrival and could not turn off. Call to reception - who sent a young staff member up to fiddle with Air Con unit. Unfortunately she said like most in Hotel they are broken and can't be turned off unless maintenance man could do it but he was not back for 2 more days. No portable heathers available so only option was to change trooms - to a room which was not freezing cold - but also could not turn heating up.

We were on an overnight spa break, which was fantastic value for the amount included. We really enjoyed our treatments and the hotel setting was stunning. Food was good and the rooms were comfy, although there were a few little niggles with light bulbs not working and the plumbing.

We accidently landed up at the incorrect reception . Akshada Kodag kindly took her time to guide us in the right direction and made sure that our check in was completed. Thank you once again Akshada . Dinner was our only disappointment . The service and quality of the food needs serious attention .
