If I could worse than terrible I would

Upon arrival we were told the locks to our room door wasn't working. We were in a hurry and they assured us that we could leave our belongings in the room and it would be fixed immediately. When we returned we found that our door had not been fixed and it had been left unlocked all evening with all our belongings in there. We were also asked to spend the night in this room, to sleep, whilst the door remained unlocked. We requested another room which took a very long time to arrange. When we eventually were given keys to the room it was a massive downgrade. There was one window which was infront of a wall so there was no natural light at all. It was a 2 single bed room and one bed had no pillows. There was no TV remote, there wasn't anything actually. And the ironing board was broken. I have since contacted the hotel and they have yet to reply. This has been 4 months and I hate leaving bad reviews so I have tried to leave it as long as possible but being ignored is as bad as the poor accommodation. To be fair, they did offer a free breakfast. Which turned out to be a few bits of dry toast, some ham and a boiled egg.

Housekeeping needs looking at. Good location though.

We stayed for a short 2 night break. Here's my pros and cons; Pros: The location is very handy, close to the main shops and plenty of restaurants and bars. It has its own restaurant / bar with tables and chairs outside which were great for the sunny evenings. The shower was very good. Breakfast was OK and the coffee was very good. Cons; Not enough towels and their seemed to be an issue with their laundry supplies. Maybe for the above reason the duvet had no cover on it and a holey old sheet below and over it. The mattress was stained, no duvet protector either. No spare pillows, 1 of the 2 pillows on the bed was so soft it was rubbish. Housekeeping had missed a half eaten packet of sweets down by the bed. Breakfast is not as pictured. It's also eaten off side plates which made eating beans on toast a messy affair. It does look a bit tired and grotty in places.

The hotel has a good location, but the service is very bad, the rooms are a bit old, the mattresses are not very comfortable and the noise from the street can be heard, given that our room faced the main avenue. Upon entering the hotel we were surprised that several rooms were not ready or clean, so our entry took more than 2 hours, when they gave us the rooms they told us that they did not have towels after a few hours we got them to give us only one to dry our hands and bathe, there were two of us, it is obvious that this was not in accordance. The standard of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired.

I travelled with my daughter we arrived at 11.30 left bags no problem and went for lunch. Came back at 15:00 to check in that went smoothly but when we went to our room there was no linen or towels, room was dirty and messy bed wasn't even made. We went back to reception and there was another 15 people stating the same problem 🙄 we have been told that they waiting for clean covers and towels to arrive and rooms will be ready for 6 o'clock. On the hot day we was hoping to refresh and have a rest bit that wasn't possible. We went out again and when we came back after dinner at 19:30 we discovered that room is in exactly the same state as before, at that point we both was very tired and it was my daughter bed time. We went back to reception and spoke to Manager as much he was apologetic we had to wait another hour for the room. When I ask for part of refund as we couldn't use our room, he laughed and said thing like that happens,which I understand but if I've been told before I check in and pay,we would never stay there and go somewhere else. Very disappointed with the Manager attitude and with overall experience.

Decent stay, sub par service, no towels!!

Mec Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Decent sized room, comfortable bed, great air conditioning and clean room. Had to chase up towels which made me late for my event, however staff were friendly on arrival & check in/out was quick and easy. Staff were as attentive as possible given it’s a busy hotel. Well located, 1 minute walk from Piccadilly bus station and a short walk to Piccadilly station. Overall good experience.
