Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort 4 stars

From arrival at Male airport to our departure we were looked after by the friendly hotel staff and nothing was too much trouble. The Mercure is a beautiful small hotel with superb rooms, great staff, food, drinks and beaches. The snorkelling on the edge of the reef is incredible, turtles, reef sharks, rays, octopus, squid and so many varieties of fish. For the less adventurous the lagoon has a great variety of fish and is only 3 feet deep

Visited the Mercure Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort on Feb 16-26, 2023. Major problem is having the Resort get me from Male to the Resort. They left me at the Male terminal for 6 hrs before they arranged a connecting 55 mins flight to their resort. Then the plane was late by 1 hr then plane engine problems, by the time I reached the resort it was 9.5 hrs later. There was a flight at 0725 , I arrived at 0610 and cleared custom with luggage by 0630 but they would not attempted to put me on this flight. NO prior communication that my arrival at 0610 was going to be problematic for them. This total disregard of their client is completely unacceptable and would advise anyone thinking of booking at this resort give serious reconsideration before booking.

Staff were fantastic. Friendly and happy which made our stay more enjoyable. Angus from the sand bank tour was excellent and looked out for all involved. Villa over the water enable us to step out and snorkel. Meals were varied and plentiful. 1st class resort, 5 stars.

I can only praise all the staff that looked after us. They were a group of very professional people who enjoyed their jobs.

Everything was fantastic from the time we landed till the time we left
