Hotel is closely located to the Brides-les-Bains cable car. The rooms are well sized and clean but bit outdated, e.g. no shower door, other doors not fully closing, curtains not fully closing, little amenities. Also the restaurant serves good food and breakfast, but it lacks atmosphere as the room is very high and big setup. Private parking available at the hotel and friendly people to help. Overall, good stay in the hotel for a wintersports holiday.

The room was big However the hotel needs some refurbishment and upgrade. There was a weird smell in the room ( probably from the humidity in the walls) Breakfast was average Staff was nice.

Bar freezing cold and no service at 9 pm on a Friday night. We went to the bar after dinner to get a glass of wine. Bar was colder than outside ( about 12 C) and no service. In fact we ordered but girl instead closed the bar and locked up the liquor. Bizarre!!!

Room was excellent. Service in hotel bar did not exist. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and girl instead closed the bar. Bar was about 10 c temperature and colder than being outside. Management unable or unwilling to heat the bar. Weird and exceptionally poor.

Nice hotel in a very beautiful area, only a bit outdated in some parts.

We enjoyed definitely the stay-over in this Mercure hotel in Brides-les-Bains. The audience apparently was mainly older guests, probably coming for the wellness center. I came with 2 youngsters for a cycling trip in the alps and hotel was not organized here for all thought the hotel staff did all necessary to accommodate us and facilitate the necessary.

in our summerholidy we spend three nights in this hotel. Overall conclusion is that his hotel needs an update. Although the room was clean and spacious, the staff did not get the airconditioning to work, also the refridurator did not work for the length of the stay. The bathroom has been upgraded, but you could not hang the showerhead on the wall so you had to stand up in the bath to shower and hold the showerhead. Breakfast is good has enough for everybody. The general impression of the hotel is that for the money we payed (200 euro per night for three persons incl breakfast) it is way past its due date. the painting on the doors is damanged throughout the hotel, the carpets shows stains and the windows outside the elevator were dirty. outside the terras te tiles had not been cleaned this season and on the surrounding walls the paiint was getting loose. Again for this money i would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Arrived Oct 26 for one week to attend the spa. Upon arrival at the spa was told that the French Government had closed down most of he services and exercise/pool etc. so I was obliged to cancel because one mud bath per day and nothing else to do

After cancelling the Spa I told the hotel I would not need the room (I had not even seen the room at this point). I said I would need to cancel and they would not refund my deposit of 500E as they did not have the authority to do so. I was told the Manager would contact me and I even called yesterday afternoon and she was still not available and has not contacted me as yet. I have instructed my credit card company to take care of this matter and they have issued me temporary credit until we settle. We learned at the same time as you the closing of the swimming pools of the Grand SPA des Thermes, we were not aware of it. The Grand SPA did not warn us and it was only the next day that we learned by an official note the closure of all the pools. At the Mercure Grand Hotel des Thermes we check all cancellations in great detail, unfortunately you are not the only ones. We have never refused to reimburse you, which we will do promptly. You only left 2 days ago. Sometimes it takes us a month to refund your money. I hope you will understand that the situation is complicated. We regret your bad note which does not reflect at all the stay you did not make, you answered questions you could not answer such as hygiene and cleanliness. etc. We hope to see you again soon in more clement times. Please accept our warmest regards.

Bad reception as we had to wait for 20min before someone showed up. The Room was very bad, wall was crumbling, toilet leaking, shower dirty. Breakfast was good.

Smooth check-in and check-out, a big shout out to Pauline to the excellent welcoming. Good breakfast with a great variety of choices. Nice, clean, and spacious room. We went to a SPA massage and it was great, the rest of the Spa, including the pool, is not that good. Regarding the restaurant, we ate dinner one of the nights and we found it strange that the servings were not correct. I ate a Poke Bowl to start and it looked like a main dish while the risotto looked like a starter, but overall very nice food and service. Overall a really good stay and if back to the corner I'll certainly choose this hotel once again. Tiago T.

Having stayed at this property before we had reasonable expectations as to the quality and standard of the hotel. Regrettably we were disappointed. The room was well appointed, clean and as expected. However the public areas lacked attention to detail, were not cleaned during our stay and appeared neglected . As examples, on arrival our room was not ready and we were offered tea in the lounge while we waited. So far so good, but 24 hours later the debris from our tea had not been cleared. Similar experience in the Bar where glasses and food debris had not been cleared since the previous opening. At breakfast the staff used a trolley to clear the tables while guests were in the room and scraped the food waste into a container on the trolley. Not a practice expected in a 4 star hotel. As a further example of the lack of attention to detail, we were not offered any Accor Club Benefits despite being Silver members and this being shown on registration form.

Very nice atmosphere in this hotel for deep relax. Very good bed and good restaurant. I will come back for more time to enjoy Spa as well. Only they must improve the indication of hotel and parking when you arrive.

very dated from rooms to public areas to restaurant, feels like walking into 1980s beat up place. parking is also very odd, no clear signage. staff ok but no particularly welcoming or enthusiastic particularly for a late evening check in. rooms - and most importantly beds - just cannot get good sleep on those... location is great, but the property is just so very dated...

Dear Host Thank you for choosing the Mercure Brides les Bains frand Hotel des Thermes. Indeed our hotel was built in 1890 and the decorator has privileged the art deco year. The hotel was renovated 4 years ago. We open the season of sli December 14 a telecabine 2 minutes from our establishment goes up to Meribel in 25 minutes we are on the largest ski area. best regards Sylvie. M

Bad service at dinner. It took about 30 minutes to get the menu, 45 minutes to get the wine list, 1 hour to get the food and one hour and 15 minutes before drinks. Terrible service and the personnel missing good management.

Friendly staff that demonstrated attention to details and a helpful attitude. The food was of a good standard with a varied, if consistent, menu. Room met our expectations in terms of the facilities, cleanliness and standards of maintenance. Queries and requests were dealt with efficiently and effectively.
