阿姆斯特丹 Sloterdijk 车站美居酒店 4 星

I’ve stayed here a few times for work as it’s close to the office. Everytime it’s great, excellent friendly staff and good facilities. I stay in the privilege rooms and it’s worth the small extra expense for the view and extras. Including being on the 8th floor(same as the skybar restaurant) and free mini fridge. The mini fridge has 2 bottles of water, Pepsi and 7up so worth the extra €15 per night. The skybar has excellent views and the breakfast is brilliant although a little expensive. I also ate in the evening and the food was also a high standard, again a little expensive. Close to the station and bars and restaurants as well as a spar, Starbucks and other facilities. Definitely staying here again as my default hotel for this area.

Room wasn't clean to a 4* standard Only had one bath towel for 2 people for 2 nights others were hand towels. Limited tea/coffee facilities Milk is powdered milk tastes disgusting No biscuits which are normally left in a 4* Hotel Staff didn't say two words to us on check in Very miserable Food in restaurant upstairs was very over priced for mediocre food Alcoholic drinks were so expensive Corridors are very dark with the decor Rooms are very basic No windows in the room We had plastic tape on our window Scratches on the wall On the phone it says room service,when I called reception to ask for some actual milk they said I'll have to come downstairs for it, I'd just arrived and didn't feel like going all the way back downstairs so the lady on reception said she'd bring me some upstairs 20 minutes later I had to call up again eventually someone knocked on the door with powdered milk. This is definitely not a 4* Hotel and very over priced for what you actually get.

I stayed two nights at the Mercure hotel Amsterdam Sloterdijk for business reasons. Nicely located close to the Westerpark and thus not far from Amsterdam City centre, actually 4 minutes by train only. Proper and tidy rooms, a nice tiny Gym I used this morning and a very good breakfast buffet do set a good standard. Room for improvement: the lights are not sufficiently bright enough, especially not in the bath room. Neither in the main living room. Staff was friendly throughout. The price indeed was comparably high, even higher than the generous reimbursement of my employer (180€/night) as I was charged 402,73€ overall for a two nights' stay...
