I booked the hotel because I couldn’t get in for work on time the following morning. The receptionist on arrival was very friendly. The corridors all the way up to the third floor stank heavily of cigarette smoke. My room 320 also smelt of cigarettes. The room was very clean. The walls were terrible at keeping the noise out from other residents. Luckily the neighbours went to bed early otherwise I wouldn’t have got much sleep. My bed was comfortable despite it sloping away from the wall. I pointed this out to a different receptionist in the morning who was not very helpful or friendly. When I asked him for my breakfast he told me that it wasn’t until 06:30 but I stated I had reserved it for 05:30 with the previous receptionist. He found my packed breakfast and just left it on the desk without saying a word. Overall the hotel was very reasonably priced and I would stay again.

Good check in and covid conditions and guidance Very poor maintenance Shower tray didn't drain Stains on the carpet which was threadbare along a wall Bedside lights didn't work Kettle broke but reception change it very efficiently Just overall tired and not maintained not Ibis usual standard

My stay was good, quiet and comfortable. My only downside was the lift being broken which was quite a trek to the third floor. Everything else was great.
