Polite staff at reception. The room felt old and tired and very small. Tired bathroom. Impossible to regulate room temperature during the night. AC unit noisy. No way of turning of subtitles on TV. Low qaulity shower unit.

Basic, no frills hotel. Good location a couple of minutes walk from the tube. Friendly staff. Our room was quite spacious, but had to go through a rabbit warren of narrow corridors to get there. Loud water pipe noises around 12.30 which was a pain, but once that had stopped, the hotel was pretty quiet. No decent breakfast offering, but a lovely place around the corner called The Blackbird. Overall, reasonably priced for London, but a bit like a posh hostel.

Well located but very basic

For what we paid I didn’t expect anything excellent but when we got given a bag with what looked like a kids packed lunch (cocoa pop bar, apple etc) I thought this was a bit much. Can’t blame this on covid now since all other cafes and restaurants are open. Other than that the room was fine, basic but comfortable. They also had trouble checking us in as the system hadn’t been updated.

Hugely disappointed, would never return

This did not feel like an Ibis styles hotel. Starting with the positives the staff were fantastic, polite and super helpful. I just feel sorry for them as they clearly get a lot of complaints. The room was dirty, hair on the bed and in the shower. There was some strange gooey substance which had been splatted on the wall. Even if it wasn't dirty it wasn't even big enough to really walk around the bed. Breakfast was in a bag despite on booking it said it would be a buffet. There was a stale croissant, a bruised apple, a cocoa pops bar and that was it! My husband is vegan and when we asked what the vegan option was - it was the apple! Not up to par, very disappointed and would definitely never return.

Room was not cleaned at all in our 3 nights stay. Had to ask for clean towels and toilet rolls and tea bags and milk. Breakfast was really substandard Muffin/Crossiant/chocolate cereal bar/apple only nothing savoury.

The hotel looks beautiful from the outside and is well located. The staff on the front desk were super helpful and really pleasant. However, the room wasn't big enough to swing a cat in you could only barely walk around the edge of the bed and trying to get dressed in there was annoying as we had to keep moving out of each others way. The bed had black hairs on it, there were long black hairs in the shower and above the bed there was what can only be described as an indistinguishable orange/beige jelly like substance which had been flicked/ sprayed onto the wall and never cleaned off. If we weren't in such a rush to leave the hotel to get to a booked show we would have asked to be moved. This is not what I expect from an Ibis and was hugely surprised. Breakfast was also ridiculous as I had paid for a breakfast buffet and it was breakfast in a bag. Nothing vegan except for an apple and what was in there was a stale croissant and a cocoa pops bar. Even the apple was inedible as it was bruised. Not a good experience.

Not the best experience sadly

The positives were the stunning location, the friendliness of the lady at check in and the shower. Room 224 is tiny - I’m 5ft 10 and struggled. The bed was uncomfortable and the room smaller than a box room. On check out, there was an offering of an explanation for a bagged breakfast, but given I couldn’t change rooms and the quoted rate for a room on reception was £137 for a walk in, I can’t see how it’s impossible to have a chef. Being an Accor member, this was not s pleasant stay. I had a terrible night’s sleep.

First of all, staff is friendly and helpful on a professional base. BUT: some rooms are located underground, you can’t judge the weather but people footwear. I really missed that information and would have taken a different place to stay if I would have known in advance. Rooms are really small. Bathroom was outdated and dirty. Rusty heaters and calcified showerwalls. Showerhead and heat temperature selector haven’t been cleaned in years. Booked a roommate incl breakfast, which haven’t been served. You will receive a lousy breakfast bag incl 1 apple, 1 croissant, 1 chocolate muffin and a cereal bar. Total amount of sugar 200 grams. Enjoy your healthy industrial prepacked meal.

Having used this hotel quite happily on previous occasions, our stay on this occasion was a great disappointment. We have stayed at many Ibis / Ibis Styles during recent months and understand that breakfast service has varied due to Covid restrictions. However they have all provided a reasonable or indeed a very good breakfast service. Yet this hotel consider that offering a paper bag of 4 basic items is an acceptable continental buffet breakfast - this is an insult to customers. We were given no advance warning that no realistic breakfast was being provided. It is particularly frustrating as we could have booked - at a similar price - at many other London and Ibis Group hotels - which provide a full breakfast service. Would never use this hotel again.

We were very happy with our stay there. The staff was friendly and helpful. We even received a card and a drink voucher when they heard it was for our 10th wedding anniversary trip. The hotel had to change the buffet breakfast to continental style (in a paper bag, due to the covid), after having the same breakfast for 3 days, I asked for cancelling the last morning breakfast and they did it immediately. The location was also very handy, very close to the underground station.

The hotel was in a good location close to Earl’s Court station. I stayed in a Solo room which was very small but had everything I needed as I was only really in the room to sleep. You had to squeeze into the bathroom as the door doesn’t fully open as it hits the end of the bed. The door was difficult to close as you had to really force it shut which was annoying.

having stayed at IBIS hotels before, I didn’t expect the breakfast to still being served in paper bags and for the only vegan option to be an apple. No toast, jams, basic offerings like what was available before. The fact daily housekeeping hasn’t returned yet is also a bit of a joke — especially when so little towels are supplied and the towel rail doesn’t work.

Probably the one of the best receptions in London: very friendly. They even made some happy birthday balloons for my wife The room however was tiny and cold with the electricity plug in the bathroom not working and they were not able to fix it as maintenance was not available. The biggest problem for me however was breakfast: every day the same bag with one croissant, a mushy muffin, an apple and orange juice. At least changing a bit with some bread, some yogurt or some flakes would be nice. The last day we just went for an English Breakfast nearby.

The hotel is really close to the Underground and easily walkable. There’s also a good array of shops, cafes and restaurants within minutes of the hotel. The hotel was clean and staff helpful. I was disappointed by the room given to us though. I asked for a quiet room, and whilst it was at the end of a corridor it was underground and facing the street so I could hear the rumble of the underground, street noise and people in rooms above still. It also meant we had virtual no window and definitely no view (it was a frosted glass door). I found the ‘COVID-safe’ breakfast fine, although some variety would be nice and we could still use the coffee machine in a morning. The staff were perfectly fine and helpful, especially with leaving luggage.

Breakfast was with a very poor bag, I don't use to eat this kind of breakfasts. I think covid is not the question because UK is quite free in this matter. Cleaning very poor, once every three days, no very acceptable.
