Rated 3 as it does need to improve in some areas - check in was fast and plenty of parking , register inside for your stay. Room was quite dated but clean and one window didn’t shut properly - the heating in the room is either freezing cold or like an oven despite playing with the thermostat. It’s approx £15-20 taxi ride to Sheffield so consider that if travelling into the City. Breakfast was ok , reasonable choice but heaven knows how you can cook mushrooms until they’re bone dry , that said the rest was ok . Staff are friendly to though and helpful. Good value for a one night stay overall

Location is off track in between units however room was a fantastic size. However, privilege room only had 1 biscuit for a room of 4 - not well thought out at all even for a couple staying. Breakfast was a let down. Tongs contaminated as others using across the hot food. No free flowing water - bottled water with a room full of adults having breakfast. No individual butter but a hard block for all to use. Waitresses have no customer service. Had to ask for cutlery which was dumped in the middle of the table. Saw me with a baby and didn’t offer the high chair that was staring us in the face until I asked. Pastries not topped up so we only had croissants and raisin wheels. Hotels at a 3 star rating ask esp if you’ve hand full with young children whether they can help get anything or order hot food. Nothing. Such a disappointment as room was excellent but breakfast let it down with rude staff. Had to ask for everything to include whether to sit down as nobody was there for breakfast and when I went to reception to enquire, the breakfast lady came and seated the couple behind me, but when I turned up having seen was ignored. No chance these staff are servicing business stays

Nice hotel, the reviews were quite concerning but we stayed in a privileged room so were very happy with our room and view. To wasn’t working, maybe remote batteries but we didn’t stay in the room during the day so not a problem really. Everything else was good, fridge worked and rooms neat and smelt clean. Only other thing was after using the bathtub the first night it wasn’t washed.
