Efficient reception staff and room clean. It just felt overall that staff were doing their best but things have yet to get back to being smooth and clear. My booking was for double room and breakfast - when we went down to breakfast the staff said it was not booked after looking at their online system. I insisted and they got the manager who was very pleasant and said go ahead and have breakfast, and afterwards I found the email I had been sent which confirmed breakfast and showed it at the desk - so a bit stressful. Staff wear masks, and so did we. 90% of the other guests do not.

We enjoyed a couple of nights here. 3 year old loved the sofa bed and slept well. Breakfast selection was good, if slightly impaired by a coach party on Sunday morning. Very helpful staff. Good sized car park. Great location for us to visit local family and then drive home to Scotland. Slight noise from smokers during the night meant we had to close the window. Would request a high floor next time.

Super clean & spacious rooms, for a budget hotel. Breakfast was better in second day - I think you had a coach tour through on the first day & were like a plague of locusts - second day was much better. Coffee machine was only partially working & needs to be fixe ASAP, as that is an issue. Staff and management are always helpful & pleasant.

Staff very polite and welcoming, but from an onlookers perspective appeared heavily understaffed. The hallway to the lift was unvaccummed, with the same dirt upon us leaving the next day. The room had not been cleaned to a desired level, the floor was very dusty and left marks on mine and my families travel cases. My sister's room had no complimentary coffee which she did later get from reception. It was a dissapointing stay.

Upon checking into our family room we discovered that the bed settee had not been set up for the children to sleep on but when we mentioned this at reception someone was there within 5 minutes to set it up and apologise. The room and bathroom were clean and had everything needed for a good stay. The breakfast exceeded my expectations - our booking email said continental breakfast as booked during covid restrictions but we went downstairs to a buffet of continental breakfast and cooked breakfast. All round lovely stay!

Hotel was clean and room was nice except the sofa bed had been made up as a bed which was not required. We asked for this to be put back to a sofa (but it wasn’t attended to) we also noted the sofa bed was bent. The staff were very friendly. breakfast was rather limited choice but ok. Hotel location next to a Toby carvery for evening meal.

Room lacked any additional comforts such as multiple pillows, a shower that didn't leak everywhere and climate control. Also, my other friends were given 3 rooms before they found one unoccupied by other guests. Sink tap wasn't over sink bowl making use difficult, radiator didn't fully turn off, one carton of water for a double room, light switches half didn't work, TV reception poor at best. Shower when on soaks entire bathroom floor
