We really enjoyed our stay (couple, 2 nights), and are really grateful for the staff attentions. Read below. Excellent stay. The swimming pool is really nice and warm enough even when it is cold outside! The hotel is really nice and modern. The room equipment is modern (Bluetooth, wifi, etc). Breakfast is nice, diversified but not exceptional. Though it is in line with Mercure standards. As Gold member, we were upgraded from standard to privilege room, on last floor just next to the swimming pool! That was just perfect. The fridge was filled with complimentary beverages and we were offered a voucher for extra beverage. Si we really enjoyed our stay and we recommend this hotel without any retention.

Located right at the train station; our arrival was smooth we just had to walk 1 minute from the train to the hotel door, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast had a vast variety of food & drink items. The beach is 15min walking distance and it’s a nice walk through the commercial street with shops.

Dirty carpets and smell in room

When you enter room 113, there’s a dusty moldy smell. The carpet has multiple stains including one to the left of the bed that looks like a dog soiled it. When you turn the shower on soap is seen on the floor so maybe it was not cleaned properly. This room needs a complete bath floor and carpet cleaning or replacing. The walls are dirty. Management team should be checking rooms. This room should not be in service. I would’ve complained in the hotel but there was nobody at desk one day during breakfast and again nobody at desk when I checked out.

So myself and a colleague both got a room on the third floor (Mercure Blankerge Station - Belgium). Upon arriving on the third floor, ALL room doors where open, including our rooms. All furniture was stacked in the bathroom?? So we placed the furniture back in the room and I washed my hands. At that moment a very strong smell started to come from the bathrooms' plumbing. Due to time constraints, I informed the desk clerk who said she would go up and pour some product in the sink & shower. Arrived late that night only to find the smell got even worse; ran the water in the shower and sink to try to resolve the issue, but to no avail. Slept with window open due to the smell, but needless to say that being next to the station, the noise was hindering. Upon checking out; the new desk clerk was like "sorry, that room shouldn't be opened up to guests as we are renovating it"... well we in any case were put up there and that was truthfully a horrendous experience. I travel a lot over Europe, Middle East and Africa for work, and this has been the last time I've been in any Mercure hotel (note that Blankenberge Station is supposed to be 4-stars). Staff was friendly and helpful on check in. They helped with arranging Covid testing for my onward travel. They also helped with local transportation options, as the train was replaced by bus service over the weekend. Rooms were very clean and well stocked. Hotel is new and modern. Large windows let in plenty of light. I didn't have the breakfast. There is coffee and tea making in the room. I would stay here again if in the area.

i find it unacceptable that for a 4 star hotel there are no parking foreseen for the guests, having to pay 25€ for 24 hours is not acceptable room very clean, personnal good

Very difficult to find parking and it is was clean... pillow was not comfortable ... not so many restaurants around but in 10 min drive there is big lidl and carrefour so u can grab something to eat... easy connection to bruges wz train

Very well-located hotel with clean rooms and offering a great variety of food for breakfast. The pictures on the website suggest the rooms have wooden floors, but unfortunately for us they don’t. We also booked a twin room but we got a double room. The latter is aminozuren problem but the former is more delicate as we are both allergic to dust. After all it’s a very nice hotel

Very nice hotel. The hotel is situated at the terminus station for a line that will take you on day return to Bruges or Ghent etc.Parking at the hotel is 15 euros a day.Staff really pleasant and only a 10 minute walk via the shopping centre to the beach

Brugge is expensive to stay and you have to park your car away from the hotelsBlankenberge is one stop away at the end of the line. The trains run every hour and the cost of the hotel including breakfast was half that of staying in Brugge.The hotel is modern and staff are very friendly and helpful. Blankenberge is a coastal resort for the Belgians and a little bit cheaper for eating and drinking.A good find which didn't distract from visiting Brugge .

Efficient check and check out staff. The hotel is ideally located next to the station. Superb room with good air con and lay out. Lovely view over the square that had a night market on our final night. The double glazing if the room meant there was no noise disturbance. We would stay at this hotel again.

Had a great friendly reception on arrival.The hotel is of a very high quality and in a great position. The only drawback was that on two occasions we had to wait until 5.30 for our room to be ready when we'd been out all day. In their defence it was Easter weekend and the Hotel had been fully booked. All in all, a good place to stay, handy for the Coast Tram and its above the railway station with links to Bruges, Brussels and beyond.
