We ate dinner one night at the hotel, and the server was not around during our dinner, and we had to look for her. We also saw her having smoke & coffee breaks right outside the restaurant twice. We also saw couple other staff members from Front Desk having meals and smoke in patio with her. I've never seen the hotel staff members having breaks at the hotel restaurants before.

Stale cigarettes

The room had a terrible stink of stale cigarettes and felt a little grubby and shabby. Breakfast was fine. Close to train station but area feels quite dodgy. I maybe should not complain, I stayed there because Eurostar booked me in because of late train. Just surprised by the stench of stale cigarettes in this day and age.

The hotel is brilliantly close to the Midi Bruxelles train station, two minutes walk, which is great for train arrivals. It is about 15-20 mins walk to the city centre and the Grand Place. The area around the hotel is typical of train stations, rather rough around the edges, but this is out of the hotel’s hands. The reception team were friendly and professional. The hotel has a water machine in the reception so you can refill your water bottle, which is great. The small in-house bar is a nice place for a pre/post dinner drink. The room was quiet, spacious, clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
