Things have drastically changed compared to our stay last time . La uppu restaurant served sumptuous delicacies but now I guess the standards have fallen.the breakfast spread is vast but scrambled eggs are pre done and stored , many other items on the breakfast spread are cold . Right from booking with the reservations lady we faced a raw experience Tanuja , I guess selling is important but when you don’t emphatically understand the customer and their requirements it’s a bad experience. Then when we arrived we were greeted in a very pleasant manner. Being the holiday season the guests were too many and the restaurant staff weren’t able to handle the crowd, they were fretting. Jibhen was the staff who stood out in the la uppu. This chap was excellent in greeting service,he was the reason for our delight in the restaurant section.this property was understaffed. Rooms had dirty wall papers and we had issues with Ac and the response to sort out issues was at snails pace. Few positives at the property was use of glass water bottles to replace plastic ,cigarette butt recycling at smoker zone and electric charging station for EVs.

The positives and negatives are as under: Positive: 1) Super courteous staff, 2) Timely room cleaning, 3) Our junior suite was spacious and peaceful, 4) Hotel location is good Negative: 1) LA Uppu menu needs improvement, the breakfast and dinner menu was almost the same during our period of stay. 2) There is a lack of coordination amongst the staff, we noticed this several times especially in both restaurants, even our billing was initially incorrect (were charged 1-day additional room upgrade which was later corrected, when we pointed to the staff) 3) We expected food delicacies of 5-star but were disappointed, the food taste, the way it was served and plated, was very average. Overall our stay was good, but we didn't feel that we were staying in a 5-star property.

The experience overall was good. Their staff is friendly and hospitable. However, I found one hair in the food and when I shared the feedback, the response was a mere we’ll inform the chef. That left me less than completely satisfied
