The rooms of the hotel are luxuriously designed & furnished. They all have queen size beds, as well as iron & ironing board, coffee machine, Wifi connection, safety box etc. Rooms from the 4th floor have a view over the Red sea. The Junior suites in Mercure hotel all have living room and bedroom. New, well designed & furnished, they also have a coffee machine, iron & ironing board, safety box, wifi connection, fire sprinklers etc.

Nice room but horrible lift experience

The hotel had 3 lifts but it seems that only 2 is working. Even then it seems that one lift only serves those from ground floor up and the other for those who wants to go down. It is very inefficient. Given that the lift is small I feel that efficiency should make up for the space

Very unpleasant stay

I did not enjoy my stay. The curtains had stains, the carpet was dusty, the aircon dial was dirty and gross to touch. In addition, the aircon was so difficult to regulate. Once the aircon was switched on the room was filled with a horrible mold and mildew odour. The wardrobe surfaces were dusty. The shower did not drain properly. WiFi would not work if you were outside your room. I had to cut my stay as I could not bear it. I chose this hotel because it is a member or Accor but I was terribly disappointed.

Slow check in, very bad service at reception, my safe didn't work and I asked 3 tines for it to get repaired and they never did it. Need to wait a long time for hot water in the shower, overall the place feels very old and dirty. It srhe worse experience I've had with mercure. This hotle should be renamed since it damages the mercure standards
