Me and my family are return guests as taiping is my mother’s hometown. unfortunately this was one of my worst experience. state borders were reopened and sop were less strictly emphasised doesn’t mean hotel guests can walk around in the lift and lobby area without masks on. this is not their home! informed your staff yet no action has been done. disappointed!

a) Breakfast buffet is not as good before Covid Crisis. It was superb in 20… b) Swimming pool is not well maintained, water is cloudy and dark sediment at the pool base. c) Reading light was out of order d) Floor lamp almost fell apart and loose. e) Bedsheet have stained marks f) No TV reception for 2 days!!!!!!!

Overall my stay was pleasant. Clean room. During my stay only that make me unsatisfied is the TV channel is unavailable. Hope that Novotel Taiping always do monthly maintenance and resolve this issue ASAP. Lastly, big thank to Amirul (Front Desk) for helping me to get good rooms.

I always love staying at Novotel Taiping. Taiping is my hometown & every year i will stay at Novotel because of the quality service. The only thing that require improvement is the maintenance. The window is dirty. There's moss covering the window. The reading light on the left side of the bed unable to switch off. The breakfast buffet is nice with a lot of variety but the food finish fast & slow to refill. Overall, the hotel is clean & comfortable with good service. If you can improve on the maintenance to maintain the hotel, it will be the best hotel to stay in Taiping.

Poor room arrangement as do not read guest comment or request upon check in; I had arranged my booking a weeks before, this must not happened upon check in. No priority at all for Accor membership. To be improve the professionalism for front-liner.

Poor reception service and room cleanliness

The hotel rooms were booked about a year ago however due to the pandemic we were only able to take a trip to Taiping recently. The staff at reception was unclear of what he was doing, moreover he did not have a welcoming attitude towards us. He was rude in talking and no customer service or whatsoever. There were litters in both rooms when we first entered, ie: plastic wrapping from mineral bottle, tags from clothes,etc. One thing good was the housekeeping girls who after we requested, helped us cleaned the rooms again and vacuumed.

everything was fine, from the check in, parking space, room cleanliness, the amenities and the ambience of the surrounding of taiping city. if there was something to improve was the courtesy and etiquette of a particular waiter in the hotel restaurant…( tried calling the restaurant to review on the incident but couldn’t get the manager) who was rude and questioning us of our choice, and it did spoil the mood for the lunch which i wanted to try their crispy squid , highly recommended. highly recommended as it has a mall next to it, local food court in front of the mall and a good place to jog at the taiping lake garden.

Novotel Taiping is my most preferred hotel whenever I visit to the lovely rain town unfortunately I had really bad experience this time during the check in. First, the receptionist who attended to me wasn't attentive and inexperience, I made two different bookings for two room category due to room availability, i requested the receptionist to give me same room for both night and dont mind to stay at lower category for both nights, the receptionist insisted to check out on the next day and recheck in again that i feel really troublesome as we travelled with baby. Then the supervisor by the name of Aida came and same thing, didn't attentive at all. She asked me to seat and wait as she needs to check, i was waited for close to 30mins and worth thing is my baby is with me. I left unattended even i purposely standing so that they could see me waiting. I then walked to ask the status from the first receptionist and again he walked into the room and didn't get back to me again. Until there is another lady Indian receptionist who feel unusual and attended to my request, she just took less than 5 mins to complete the check in for the same room for the both night. I would like to complement the good service of the indian lady but really disappointed for another two especially the supervisor.
