Wabya TripAdvisor review

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff in the restaurant and bellboys/ main entrance staff along with the rooftop bar/pool were all very warm and friendly. The issue that soured my stay was the executive lounge. Some of the staff were ok but one in particular with the dental braces and spectacles was very unfriendly. She spoke to us like we were school children not guests and on occasion actually raised her voice when frustrated (which was often to be honest). I think the main issue is that she treated the lounge as if it were her own personal fiefdom and was so sensitive about any requests for flexibility. Very rarely smiled and made us feel uncomfortable quite often. She really is in the wrong profession I feel. At the very least, she needs retraining. We did ask about the complaints process but she said that the hotel didn't have one!

Nice hotel but…. Only if u can take the negatives

Room is quite nice but bathroom is not enclosed. While there is a separate WC n shower area with glass doors, the bathroom only has a curtain, no door panel. To me, it’s just ok, no wow factor. I don’t mind open concept bathroom if there are panels or sliding doors to close. Food - had 2 meals in the hotel - lunch n dinner, ordered Vietnamese food, food is just mediocre though service is quite good. What I hate… There’s live singing outside which is still very loud when heard from the room n it’s already 10.30pm now n it’s not ending yet ! With just this reason, I don’t think I will stay here again. Can’t even sleep early. That compelled me to write this review in my first night of stay. Sighs… I just hope it ends soon n I can sleep !!! Hope it’s just tonight. Else Gotta endure a few more nights. I wonder why people give such high reviews to this hotel…. ??

Shower was a little small and could do with a wall rather than a curtain for a shared twin room. Bed comfy, view great. Can't wait for social club to be open again.
