We stayed here for 3 nights as a trip away for my son who has been having a difficult time. We paid for a nice hotel because wanted to make it special. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by a nice man who booked us in. The following morning the man who booked us in for breakfast was lovely, he was very kind to my son and showed us where everything was. Sadly things went down hill from there, the sliding door in our bedroom was hanging off. I spoke to someone on reception but nothing was fixed. We got back to our hotel and the mini bar wasn’t refilled, no tea, coffee etc. I asked the cleaning lady in the corridor she just replied no English. So I had to head down to reception as no one was answering the phone. They later brought some crisps for the mini bar but no tea or milk so had to go back down. I then went to run my son a bath and there was no hot water. When the manager came she said well it feels warm., I explained it was luke warm to which she said well we’ll move you rooms. Unfortunately it was now 5.30pm at this point and the last night of our stay so didn’t want to be shifting all our stuff from one room to another. She explained that they don’t have a maintenance man on a Sunday. She then said she couldn’t believe that the cleaner wouldn’t refill the milk and coffee and that she wouldn’t understand me because she doesn’t speak English. I was so disappointed with our stay, it wasn’t worth the money that we paid to stay there which is such a shame given that it was supposed to be special for my son. What’s worse is that no one was really interested in my concerns and I was effectively being called a liar.

Position very convenient for the vibrant waterfront and easy walk to shops and centre. Hotel comfortable and quiet. Staff were all extremely nice and the vegetarian menu was good. We slept very well and would recommend anyone to stay there.

Modern hotel, ideally located for M&S arena, exceptional staff, fantastic room (just a bit dusty!)

TheD1NKs Couples - TripAdvisor review

We stayed for two nights, the hotel is ideally located for the M&S arena and the exhibition centre. During our stay we walked to the Albert Dock and into town easily enough (we do a lot of walking), good restaurants and the Liverpool wheel on the doorstep. Parking available in the multistorey next door and there is a discount for hotel guests. We were checked in by Manos on reception who was very helpful and welcoming. All the staff were friendly and approachable but there was one stand out, unfortunately I didn't get his name. At breakfast on the first morning (23rd March) we were greeted and seated by an incredible member of staff, very chatty, great personality that shone through and showed genuine interest in us (asked about our trip and gave recommendations on places to go during our stay). We love Liverpool because of the people and he was exactly what the people of Liverpool are known for, friendliness, openness and personality. The hotel was modern, lovely relaxing bar area and good breakfast. The room view was stunning, we were on the fifth floor. Facilities were good, usual tea, coffee etc. I loved the buttons to turn on the shower (never seen them before, always had dials) mirror had a light and was heated. My only criticism was that the room was quite dusty. Not the bedside tables etc. but it looks like the lamp adapter and behind the coffee machine had been missed. We opened the net curtains to look at the view and this seemed to release a lot of dust. We had a clothes roller with us that we had to use often after being in the room due to dust settling on clothes. For balance, the skirting boards and other areas were spotless so I just think there are a few areas being missed and dust trapped in the net curtains. Also, the tap for the sink is plumbed the wrong way so when you move the dial to the red dot, cold water comes out and when you move it to the blue dot, got water comes out. We would definitely return and recommend.

Dear Dinks Thank you for taking the time to post your review Your feedback is truly appreciated and will be used to help us ensure we are offering out guests an amazing experience Thank you for your kind words about Manos which I will ensure are shared with him. Great to read you would stay again - we look forward to welcoming you back kind regards Neil Brailsford General Manager

Perfect location for what was needed. Receptionist was really friendly and accommodating letting us into our bedroom early, not expected but offered. Can't remember her name. Bedroom had a great view and clean. Breakfast offered a great selection only one negative the coffee was on the weak side. Lovelt stya

It was average.

I stayed in the hotel got my anniversary. I asked if it’s possible to make anything more special out even to pick the best room for my rate that I bought but even then I was given a room not facing the river even after that’s not why I bought. Any extras cost an arm an a leg, more focus on money then experience. The food was bland apart from the main course. Check in was nice but apart from that it was a quite disappointed experience.
