Pullman Mandalay Mingalar

Stayed at deluxe suite room for 3 nights and very warm welcome from the front office. The hotel was lovely and the room was spacious enough with all the amenities given. Definitely enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and will come back again! Thank you to Ko Kyaw Thura, Ma Ei, Ma Yadi, Ko Aung Naing Khant and the team for such warm hospitality given!

Yesterday we went for the Continental buffet at this hotel. The sushi and pizza we're good however the meat was not tender and the noodles and dim sum had a particularly bad taste. The dessert buffet was very small. Another thing was that it was understaffed as there were no chefs to guide you in your meat choice. This buffet was very poor when compared to the buffet at Pullman Yangon to which I went last week. I am very disappointed.

Recently opened about a few months ago. it is very well built and maintained. The staff are very friendly. Check-in and check-out was very smooth. Breakfast spread was excellent. The buffet spread was also good. Has a very impressive swimming pool.

One thing I can say for this hotel is that the pictures provided at the website are the same, the place is lovely and rooms comfortable, the pool area is beautiful with the green grass by the side. Food at breakfast was great and it is the usual variety of continental and local. What I loved about the location is that it is opposite the Mandalay stadium and it is a lovely view at night with all the lights on, I was disappointed though that the stadium view at level 3 was not yet opened, I wanted to stand there and take some pictures. There is a shopping mall and an array of shops not too far from the hotel too, so you can get anything you want too. Anyway my stay was great and the staff helpful.

We stayed for 2 Nights from January 1. Brand new Hotel still in the soft opening stage. As would be expected from a new Hotel every thing was very modern and clean. We used the Restaurant for Breakfast and One Dinner - Buffet and found the food and service to be ok. With the Buffet you can have a Drinks Package as well which is good but may I suggest that Sparkling Water be also included (we had to pay extra for this) and perhaps two types of white wine in particular but also red. A Semillon Wine drinker is unlikely to want to drink Chardonnay? Staff are essentially locals and there are still some rough edges and by nature they are very reserved. While their English is adequate they are probably not confident to have detailed conversations. They however are very keen to please the Hotel Guests with everyone very polite and keen to assist in anyway. Would like to commend Hope and Joseph from the Restaurant, TC from the Bar and Zaii from the Club Lounge. The pop up Executive Lounge is a nice thought but we did feel a little isolated sitting in what was essentially a small room all by ourselves. We subsequently also stayed at Pullman Yangon and they used the public bar and provided a rotating food menu which we could order from and brought food to us as we required but being in a public bar we could interact with other people and "people watch" - just a suggestion? Would not hesitate to stay here again and only wish that the Hotel was fully operational when we were there. Well done Pullman Mandalay - we wish you all the best and I'm sure you will become a "go to Hotel" in Mandalay in the future.
