The stay was nice and well, the rooms are clean and large and the staff was very helpful in arranging. Unfortunately the entry was under construction and it was hard for me to find the right place to enter the buidling. Also I had to carry my baggage up the stairs as there was no ramp.

Very impressive stay . I used to travel a lot with 5 star hotels around China and SEA , while this hotel are one of the most impressive . * new facility * warm service i would very much thanks for kind service provided from the reception Cindy , who help me do the booking and check-in & out for the previous two stays . very nice experience . An Execellent Hotel with a minor incident during stay.

I have already written a review for my recent stay in great details, together with the mention of one minor incident. The response from the hotel is the simple standard response of "Thank you....." and ends with "we hope your next visit will be as pleasant as the previous one." There is no mention on the small negative comments that I had with bath room amenities, and I am not sure whether the next visit will be pleasant one. I start to wonder whether the guests' comments are being taken seriously by the hotel. Nevertheless, the other aspects are still good, otherwise, I would not have stayed here since 2008, as reflected by my rating below.

Hotel is beautiful and health club is truly a great place. The location was great for my work and a great place to do some follow-up work. Breakfast is outstanding. I would truly recommend staying here. It is located near many excellent restaurants of all varieties.

For me one of the best Accor hotels worldwide! I was really surprised because I didn't know that the Sofitel had been completely renovated. I've been here twice before, in 2017 and 2018. It used to be an older and solid house with an "ok" factor, but the facility was generally old and the pool and spa area wasn't really nice either. Even more I was really surprised that the hotel 2019 looks completely different and now plays in a completely different quality league. When I checked in very late, shortly before midnight, the staff (“Kobe and Monica”) were really nice, friendly and helpful and organized something to drink for me, the bar and lounge were already closed at that time. The rooms are now bright and decorated in great colors. They used to be very dark with solid wood and looked old and sluggish before. The new colors and the whole interior looks fresh and luxurious. I liked my room very much. All sockets are functional, also there are many USB charging sockets. The Club Lounge for Status guests on the 26th floor has also been completely renovated. The lounge was also very dark in the past and was a bit overwhelming. The complete lounge is now very bright and spacious, looks great! The food offer has be improved and upgraded. The staff in the lounge is also brilliant. “Stella Liu” and her team take care of everything. You will be assigned by a personal butler, in my case “Jason”, he is doing a very good job! I felt very, very comfortable and welcome in the lounge as well as in the hotel in general. For me, actually the best Accor Hotel I've stayed in in the last 10 years. I hope that this will stay that way and that I can look forward to further stays at Sofitel Shenyang Lido.

Good location, modern decoration, spacious room, tried French restaurant and loved it. The breakfast food diversity can be further improved. Didn’t have chance to try the gym facility and will do so next time .

we arrived to a room that was a smoking room, when we had booked a nonsmoking room. we were moved into another room that had: stains on the carpet, threads coming out of carpet, stains on every chair, a threadbare couch, a lightbulb missing, a broken glass, an empty mini bar, no in-room menu, stained info booklet, scratches on desks, etc, etc. it felt like we were in a very cheap motel. after callign for the manager we were then shown 2 more room options, both of which still had stains on the carpets and one had a couch with a cigarette hole in it. we were told: sorry our hotel is 15 years old. at that point we decided to not stay here. the staff was very apologetic and wanted to show us more room options, but we didn't trust they would be any better, so decided to eat the cost of 1 night and just leave. They had their chance to find us better rooms and didn't. The hotel is in the middle of a remodel, so i felt like they were showing us the old rooms and hoping we'd be satisfied with them, maybe the new rooms were sold out. When i brought up the condition of the furniture in the rooms the first suggestion was they could bring extra towels to put on the chairs so we wouldn't have to sit on them. Which i didn't really find an acceptable solution. While the staff was very apologetic and kind, I didn't feel ilke they were actually able to solve the issues. I kept thinking I wonder if anyone from Sofitel's main office has visited this hotel in a while, if I worked for Sofitel I would be embarrassed at the conditions of the rooms and would not try to sell them, it really gave us a bad impression of the Sofitel brand. The 2 stars are for the kindness of the staff. Once we left the hotel the staff emailed us apologies and offered us a free dinner with the manager and hoped we'd give them another chance. At this point I'm not sure we will, (if they had better rooms why didn't they take us to those?) but we appreciated the sentiment.

Regularly visiting the Sofitel Shenyang for business and until now it has not failed to deliver. Service is usually good with efficient check in procedure. Rooms are a bit dated though they have now started to renovate which may cause some inconveniences. Overall they are in good condition and everything works. Breakfast is having a good selection, however the taste of the coffee is not the best - so better stay with tea. What did impress me is the Cantonese restaurant of the hotel which had an outstanding dinner set. The French restaurant was soso - service staff seemed to be still in training and food was mediocre.

The Sofitel in Shenyang is away from other hotels and the centre of the city. It is accessible by metro. Check in was very easy. The room was a suite. It was spacious, had all the amenities and services that come with it. The only thing I had to do was to turn off the heating. Having access to the club lounge made the stay even more enjoyable. The canapés in the evening varied and were plentiful. The Christmas decorations were a surprise since and brightened up the hotel lobby. The range of items available at breakfast of level two was extensive.

For a 5 Star Hotel a little bit disappointing. Air Condition noisy and non effective (couldn't cool down the room temperature). Heavy bed blanket which might have been an advantage in a cold winter, but for summer definetly too warm.

Good location - Shopping mall across the road. 20 to 30 minutes to the airport by taxi UISDollar 10,-- road leads directly to airport expressway. Stay in Executive floor - nice food and very friendly staff - excellent service. Sofitel is known for its french cuisine. Buffet is great- very good selection - value for your money. I love this Hotel.

I book the room with staff rate breakfast included, but for some reason I cannot have breakfast on the second floor...I had to go to the 26th floor...The service there was nice but not with so many choices for food...

The service at the Shenyang Lido was outstanding, especially Louisa Sun, Director of Operations, who made everybody welcome. It was easy to take a Taxi from the Airport to the Hotel with an after midnight Check In and the front desk staff extremely welcoming.

I really enjoyed my stay in Sofitel, Shenyang Lido. Friendly front desk staff who are very much helpful. Rooms are good and the facilities like swimming pool, spa, etc) they provide were excellent. Convenient to reach from both railway station (Shenyang North) as well as airport. It is on the main road. Food was good. They arrange taxis on our request very promptly. Overall experience was excellent. I would prefer to stay in these hotels in my next visit to abroad.

The beds were hard & the shower was not great. Only a handful of staff provided a very good service. This is the most disappointing stay I have had in a Sofitel hotel & it is definitely not up to Sofitel standards.

Having stayed in this hotel a few times after it's managed by Sofitel. The hotel has a very good location and its staff are friendly. The downside of this hotel is it's too old and need to be renovated. It also needs time to change the style from SPG to ACCOR.
