The view from the breakfast restaurant is simply breathtaking and the food taste delicious. As gold member of AllAccor I also got treated to an upgrade and enjoyed a wonderful duplex room. The staff was very helpful and kind!

The hotel is 10 min walk from the Termini railway station having good connections with metro as well as many bus routes along the city. There are some okayish restaurants nearby as well. The room was good and also the breakfast had some good variety being served in Italy. The breakfast was served at the 9th floor restaurant with nice views around the city.

The hotel is very uncomfortable. The bedrooms are incredible hot and there is no air conditioning (which is extremely hard to understand why a hotel doesn’t have air conditioning?). The room has internal stairs which are narrow and steep and difficult to get bags up and down - the bell desk staff didn’t even offer to take them up or bring them down. The rooms clearly haven’t been renovated for some time and are showing significant age and overuse. The room I was in fronted onto Via Nazionale, and the windows are thin, so the traffic noise is extremely disturbing while trying to sleep. In general, an extremely disappointing stay and I will not return to this property. I will actively discourage people from considering this location as an option in Rome.

The two-storey rooms belong to the deluxe category and are normally in great demand, as they are appreciated in their generous sizes. In Italy in general, also in consideration of the known energy effects, and for effect of Cities regulations, almost all hotels cannot have heating, used in winter, and cooling, used in summer, at the same time. In the future, it will be possible to think of a modernization of the plants, but to date, normal plants, if there are 3 degrees Celsius outside, no machine is able to generate cold. However we understand it was an inconvenience for you, and we are very sorry. Our stay at La Griffe Roma was at best hopeful for we are expecting an Accor 5 star experience yet was disappointed in S. many ways from check in, rooms (not up to standard for its ratings or being part of M Gallery by Sofitel) and breakfast. The saving grace will be the people specially the following: Roberta, Dino, and Matteo(Bar). I did personally wrote feedback to the manager for my feedback and did not get an acknowledgement or any response. Location: Good. Will I stay again? Let's just say that I have already found a great alternative to this one just very close by and its cheaper too with way more benefits.

Great location, so beautiful, the hosts are so kind , but unfortunately the bathroom don’t have shover just a magnificent hidro bath. So , to take a good bath is necessary some ginastic.

Positive point: friendliness of the staff at reception and at entrance, rooftop, rooms, location, car service, room upgrade Negative points: 24 hours without hot water (no shower to get prepared for new year evening), no heater in room 324 (temperature was about 18 degrees) in spite of 4 requests to reception, bad breakfast (no omelette prepared on the spot part of price, unfriendliness of staff, no big choice, no fresh juices,..). Breakfast was at level of IBIS standards.

probably the best room in the hotel, however not without technical issues. generally an impression of under-investment. finally even a complete failure of hot water in the whole hotel on 1st Jan! great location and great staff are the main assets!

I froze the first night. Contacted maintenance and they came and turned on heating in metre box. That night we woke up to scorching conditions. Had to turn off at metre box. Called maintence again, who adjusted the temperature to a maximum of 20 degrees. That night we woke up to the same scorching conditions. The off switch did not work. I turned it off at the metre. Then the hot water stopped working. We left the next day and the water was still cold.

The number one good point about the hotel is it's location - the word "ubizazione" means location in Italian (and toilet in my language, but that's not very pertinent here). In general, as Italian as especially, Roman hotels go, this is a solid choice and its premium price is justified for it being walking distance to all major sights on the right bank of the Tiber river, and almost on the doorstep of the metro which can take you further afield (e.g. Vatican). There is a COOP supermarket, a pharmacy and a slew of other shops open until late and on Sundays on the same street at the hotel (which is busy but did not disturb my sleep). Another highlight is the rooftop bar and restaurant, which affords you some really nice views to start or end the day with. This is all complemented by friendly and helpful staff - with the exception of the breakfast room manager, who is a stuffy and grumpy manager visibly aggravated by the task of herding cats (i.e. guests and newbie coworkers) in a challenging location. As an LCAH / ALL Platinum member, I was met with almost immaculate recogniton of my status and benefits, starting with being upgraded from the lowest room category to a top-level junior suite with sweeping vistas, early check-in and room availability without a wink, very late check-out (6 PM!) on request, an elegant welcome gift (including fresh forest fruit in December) delivered by room service in the evening and, of course, a drinks voucher (which I ended up not using, after it was mistakenly taken away by housekeeping and later replaced by the front desk with an apology). The bad? The usual stuff in Italian hotels: * breakfast spread is rather disappointing, including artificial scrambled eggs and pretend bacon and sausages, whose taste boils down to being salty * the design is, as almost all Italian hotels, very much style over substance, which results in it being out of fashion almost the moment it was open, premature wear and tear and some questionable choices (e.g. corridors belonging more in a prison than luxury hotels, thanks to the designers infaturation with industrial ABS flooring). Otherwise, the more I reminisce about my stay, the more I am happy with the experience. There was little "memorable moment" charme about it, but all the comforts were there and the location proved just as good as it looked on the map. The little extra the hotel charges over the Mercures in Rome is paid back in time and expense saved while getting around
