Hi! I am writing to you because I had an unpleasant experience staying at Ibis Styles Brussels Louise, booking JCJDFBNM. 3 nights-02/10/2020 to 05/10/2020, two people, 3 breakfast, 3 city taxes, other taxes = final total 203.70 euro. Due to the pandemic situation, i postponed this reservation for a year. A month before arriving at the hotel, the airline informed me that my departure flight would be a day earlier. In this situation I had to add one more night (with 99 euros + 4.25 euros city tax) to the 3 nights. So at the reception I had to pay 103.25 euros. Now follows the most unprofessional part: they asked me for 148.30 euros, claiming that the difference of 45.05 euros represents the difference of the room rate from the moment of booking the fourth night and the room rate when i paid the first three nights. Well, if I bought a product (3 nights) with a price, is it normal to be asked for a higher price? They consider the amount paid for the three nights a deposit. In the email that confirming the reservation of the three nights, it clearly says that it is a final payment. For the fourth night, that was the price, that I paid, but for the other nights to bring them to the same price as the fourth night is not fair. This situation forced me to change my vacation plan (less food and tourist attractions). In conclusion, I want a refund of 45 euros. Because I like Ibis hotels, I want to be fair-play and tell you the situation first, and depending on the answer I will receive, I will expose or not, the situation and protection the European Union. Thank you for the hospitality and the nice employee. They are so good and helped me and hear what i want. They helped me with smile and warm heart. Keep going. Room is also nice but a little bit old style.

Good: the hotel is in a good location. Bad: upon arrival given wrong room - walked into a room with an un-made bed and used tissues. Reception workers then said they gave us the wrong room somehow and told us the correct room. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from other rooms. In the morning there was no hot water (????) no apology from reception just that it would be back in 30 mins.. I was not back by then. The shower drain was also blocked and very disgusting. At night an alarm went off - again no apology or explanation as to what it was. The room overlooked a shared terrace - we felt very uncomfortable about this since our balcony door was not locked - i.e. other guests could have looked into our room if they wanted to. Our balcony door was also broken and could not close. On a windy/rainy night we had to prop up a chair against it and a draft still came in.
