I treated myself to 5 nights rest and recuperation at this wonderful hotel…. It was relaxation personified. The staff were both diligent yet not intrusive…… All in all a delightful stay.

On arrival Lucky opened the car door and recognised me using my name even though it was over four years that I stayed. He was amazing as always. Friendly staff - great service. The lower mark is the maintenance and quality of the linen / mattress. The hotel hasn't dated well, loose planks everywhere. When business picks up, this should be looked at. However it can't be understated - the service was easily the best have experienced in Thailand, better than the landmark and Holiday Inn in Bangkok. The housekeeping was amazing and will miss the staff. Was disappointed that the rooftop bar wasn't open, even when I stayed at the Mercure or Avani, would use the rooftop bar.

Interesting room layout, friendly staff

Bad - no food provided with by restaurant or room service (restaurant understandable due to COVID restrictions). TV in room had very poor signal with Thai language channels only (not good for quarantine purposes). Couldn't use USB or cast to TV. Upon completion of 1-night 'Test & Go' isolation was advised to go to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for 2nd swab test on 7th day. Pattaya Memorial does not do the swab tests. Then told to go to Jomtien Hospital. Jomtien Hospital could not do as Barracuda Hotel is not registered with them. Had to go all the way to Laem Chabang Hospital instead. Very small balcony, not practical for relaxing on. Good - room layout was really interesting and different. Big office desk and comfortable chair, very comfortable bed. Great shower. Friendly staff. Internet speed seemed ok.

Worn down, in desperate need of renovation. Even we got the most "fancies" room the standard was poor, cleanlines poor, no minibar. So many things that management urgent needs to adress.

The front office and concierge team did a good job to make me feel welcome as a platinum member. The only thing that was slightly disappointing was that the lounge and restaurants are all closed and we had our breakfast in the room.
