tomothy88 Business - TripAdvisor review

Came to stay in this hotel for 8 weeks while working locally. I can honestly say, it was home from home. The staff here are a real credit to the hotel. What could’ve been a really lonely, and particularly difficult time away from home as it was all over Christmas and new year was made so much easier by the staff here. Maria, Deejay, Monique, both Justinas, Montana, Natalie and everyone else who looked after me, I can’t tell you how grateful I am. It was good banter and nothing at all was too much trouble. Mercure bosses if you’re reading this, all these guys at the hotel deserve a treat. They are wonderful. My only gripe, black pudding was on the breakfast menu the day I checked out. Gutted ha!

Fantastic stay, absolutely first class staff

Working away from home for 8 weeks over Christmas, I can't rate my stay highly enough, the rooms are nice well equipped and modern, the hotel is nice, great parking and good location, But what makes this hotel unique is the staff, from the minute I checked in to the minute I left was made to feel welcome, looked after and valued as a guest, the staff have a great team spirit and you can tell they all enjoy working here, they take pride in their roles from cleaners/reception/ waiting and restaurant staff all of them are first class. Honestly have never stayed in such a welcoming hotel. If I was the manager of this hotel I'd be proud to have such an amazing team. I cannot thank everyone enough for your professionalism and your hospitality.

Nice, but not amazing

We've stayed at the hotel several times. the hotel is nice, staff are good, but they miss the small details which would make it brilliant. Things like not preparing the kids room with the twin beds and put up bed we asked for. Then not adding a 3rd set of towels and cups,. Tv remotes not working properly. These are things you dont want to complain about but are so important to get right.

Excellent service, nice location

Overall a good stay. Lamps in the room didn't work. Hot water for the sink took a long time to warm up as did the shower. No still water was left in the room as requested. However, this was rectified by one of the staff who worked in the restaurant. They checked if I'd been left bottles of still water. When I confirmed that I hadn't, they promptly asked a colleague to provide me with the requested water. When I turned the TV on there was a welcome message for a 'Matthew Sheehan'. This obviously hadn't been updated from the previous occupant of the room. However, this was corrected to my name on the second night. The food for breakfast and dinner was good and there was a good selection.
