While it’s a bit out from the CBD it’s a great place to stay and if you do want to head into city the trams are close by anyhow. Friendly staff really made the stay even better

Stayed at Mercure PUllman, Albert Park, Melbourne for three days for a conference. Excellent rooms, staff, service, and the breakfast had a wide variety. Check-in and Check-out was smooth and quick.

The first room I was in the airconditioning failed and a technician came and fixed it - that was fine as I understand that things breakdown. However it then filed again and I asked to be moved to another room. This was done and that was fine too but while the air conditioning worked, it didn't appear to be all that effective and I found the room to hot even though I had the cooling turned down to the lowest setting. On Thursday there was a fire alarm and that was fine as these things happen. However the staff had no idea what to do. People came in and out of the smoke doors, the bar continued to serve drinks, no one told people they may have to evacuate and the lifts still appeared to operate. I think you need to train your staff on what they need to do in these circumstances
