Have stayed before with no issues at all, but extremely disappointed this time and will not be hurrying back. We were in Melb for a swim comp. Wanted to check in so the kids could relax before we had to go back for finals. Arrived to check in at 2:45pm (desk was very slow) only to be told our room wasn't ready and wouldn't be for another 30-45 minutes, said sorry and that they were under the pump. You should know how many would be checking out that day and how many staff you would need to have rooms ready for next arrivals. There were many people waiting, not just us. We were only given complimentary drink vouchers for my husband and I (after I asked for them), not the kids. Got into our room after 50 minutes of waiting. Air con was not working. They were going to reset it while we were gone. Got back to find a noisy pedestal fan in our room. Air con was still not working even though the hotel told us it had been fixed. Car parking was not explained to me properly, which caused much frustration. 4 people staying, but only given 3 towels, cups, spoons, etc. I could have chased up extras, but we were exhausted from the day and I just couldn't be bothered dealing with it. Then, 3 days after checking out, I receive an invoice showing charges for the mini bar that were not consumed. I've since received the money back, but I was not impressed and will not be staying at this hotel again.

I found the staff especially concierge to be very helpful and prompt even on issues that were not traditionally there job like checking out. The hotel was very comfortable and the room I had was spacious and well setup. In room entertainment is always a let down just put a normal TV in there and this would improve.

Amazing room for the price, large bathroom, comfortable beds, good location. Check in took a minute, everything went incredibly smoothly. Room was a bit dusty, but for the price I paid the value was exceptional

Mixed feelings with the stay. Room was very nice and spacious, clean and relatively modern. However the service was slow and at often times comical. All staff were pleasant, however the speed of service was very average. The check-in process was painfully slow, the cafe in reception was worse and at the restaurant they forgot my entree and the main was served 15 minutes after the other guests at my table.
