The place was not clean enough, the room service was poor, getting clean towels was a novelty!

The good - the pool , the roof deck and the spa The not so good - had some problems with our meals. On our arrival we ordered a steak sandwich via room service. Honesty, you couldn't chew the meat and basically had to pull it apart with your teeth. I reported this to the Operations Manager who barely responded and just looked at his computer screen. Also, one morning it took nearly 25 minutes to get 1 single fried egg, albeit that I returned the first one as it had too much uncooked egg white. I am not keen on showers in baths, with this one in particular you had to step over 600 mm edge to get into the bath with no handrails which for some people would be a huge challenge. The spa was full of grime and it took us a couple of days to realise the thermostat was turned down. The light on the balcony was blown which was a problem if you had to climb the stairs in the dark to go the roof deck.

From the moment we arrived the reception staff were amazing, especially Barbara who went out of her way to accommodate our needs. The welcome drink was lovely. The facilities were good, clean and nice. The gardens and pool was lovely. The daily breakfast was really nice and restaurant staff were great. Would have been nice to be provided with bathrobe in our room, thankfully Barbara provided us with one, first told there weren't any by anther staff member. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel. Negatives: I don't think we were provided with our complimentary cocktail. Some of the power points in our room didn't work- was reported, however not fixed. The dryer knob broker- reported, not fixed, however could still use. The bathtub/shower way too high to get in/ out, almost tripped a few times. No minibar in our room- (which maybe a positive ha!)

From the time I arrived the treatment I received from all staff was superb-helpful,positive & nothing a problem My room was spacious,well located,extremely clean & tidy & very well appointed The pool areas were top notch & even though school holidays,not overcrowded
