We would highly recommend the Pullman Port Douglas and would stay again. The pool is fantastic, shallow area for younger children and plenty of space beyond for more competent swimmers. Our children thoroughly enjoyed swimming around the little stream that meandered around and under the bridges. The tiki torches gave a lovely tropical vibe at night, although not all were lit during our stay (possibly due to poor weather). The 2 bedroom penthouse with pool view was perfect. The private roof top with spa and huge bbq entertaining area was a bonus and would have been more utilized if the weather had been better. Daily housekeeping made it more of an enjoyable holiday for all of the family! The resort is only a short 5 minute drive to the centre of Port Douglas. There is a shuttle bus if you don’t have a car. Unless you utelise the kitchen for every meal, expect to be traveling into town for restaurants and cafes. The resort restaurant was poorly staffed (room service had to be ordered in person from the restaurant and we were then also asked to wait to collect the meal ourselves) and the food was less than average but with the usual resort price tag. I believe the whole region is still struggling with hiring staff due to lack of overseas workers as restaurants in town were extremely difficult to get a reservation at. Apart from the restaurant, the only other downside was the poor layout of the resort for wet weather. Considering it is located in a tropical climate, there was no thought into how guests (and staff) could move from pool, restaurant, reception and apartments without getting saturated as there are no undercover walkways.

Booked a penthouse with rooftop area for two nights. The overall experience of this hotel fell short of expectations for the Pullman brand and on many instances was not value for money

Except for the weather which you cannot predict when you book so far out the stay was good the only problem was the BBQ but was resolve no problems

I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the two bedroom private pool villa that we booked. The breakfast menu and service left a lot to be desired as well.

Room and pool were fantastic, can’t fault it. Would stay again purely for that! Restaurant left a lot to be desired. $40 prawn hot pot with 3 prawns, got our meals wrong, small size and over priced. Complained to the staff member with no resolution. We also were charged for coffees for breakfast. It wasn’t explained that barista coffee was charged and we didn’t receive an invoice at the end of each service, just a bill at check out. We would appreciate a response from the manager. The restaurant was doing the best they could with staffing issues, that’s apparent, but no excuse for overpriced and under delivered food.

We tried every night to get our spa to heat up but it never happened , so was a little disappointed Our rooms were spacious and comfortable and well serviced each day :) We felt the restaurant was under staffed and not to the level we were expecting , we waited 35 minutes to be seated for breakfast on the last morning and it took 55 minutes to bring our meals out which were always a little inconsistent with what we ordered . The GM did give us a round of coffee on the house and apologised for the delay Our friends were asking what its like at Sea Temple as they were wanting to come up to Port Douglas and stay somewhere. My comments to them was the facility was great and relaxing but suggested that they hire a car for their convenience to go elsewhere for breakfast and dinner . Overall i would definitely come back and give it another go , Thanks Sea Temple Cheers

The resort was lovely however you need more covered area it rained the whole time and there was no covered area to get to reception or to other rooms. Our family booked 4 rooms and they were all scattered in all directions. The rooms were booked at the same time. This information is for you I don't want to have it published as we had a wonderful time there.

My overall stay was pretty good. It was very evident that the hotel was very under staffed however, the staff present did their best to make our stay enjoyable. The staff on the front desk, particularly the assistant manager Lee, was fabulous and made up for the under staffing in other areas. The only area that needs some attention is the overall cleanliness. I expected a little more caution with cleanliness considering our current state with Covid.

Overall to hotel was a nice resort and comfortable. Unfortunately the stay started on a bad note. I rang 1 week prior to arrival to confirm the check in time. It was confirmed as 3pm but it was suggested the room maybe be available before then so we arrived at 2pm. The room wasn't available so we were advised it would be available at 3pm. We returned at 3pm to find out it still wasn't available. We sat in reception until 4.20pm before it became available. I've been staying at hotels for approximately 30 years and that has never happened to me. I asked if the hotel was at full capacity and was told no! Why wouldn't the hotel offer another room?? Wouldn’t stay here again

Unfortunately the weather was terrible (not the hotels fault) however other then the gym there was not much to do. The restaurant was a huge disappointment, so much so that we only had dinner there once and breakfast (although included in our bundle) we went to the super markets to buy ordinary every day food. The staff were either really pleasant or almost rude. Some staff actually never spoke to you when delivering your food. The food was overpriced and undercooked. The accommodation left a lot to be desired. The bathroom needs a make over. The shower is in the bath, but the bath is so deep it is an effort to get into it. I am only 153cm tall with bilateral knee replacements and found it very difficult to get into. There are no handles to hold onto when getting into bath which is an OHS issue. The vanity is falling apart with the particle board showing ( and not just a little bit). The pocket door was off its roller in the main bedroom so the door wouldn’t close. In the kitchen the slide out pantry needed attention as the timber front was loose. I did use the spa which was fabulous. The staff at reception were very friendly and attentive.

We had planned to visit this resort in 2020 and due to COVID the trip was canceled and so pleased that we finally got to stay here in April 2021. The wait was worth it as the resort was amazing. We didn’t want to leave. Loved the lagoon pool. Such a great way to relax in the afternoon after a day of exploring or being pampered. The restaurant Aluco did great breakfasts and dinner was also a pleasant experience. Would certainly stay again.

For a room that wasn't ready on arrival (ground floor room, furthest from the main hotel entrance), it was unacceptable whereby it was very dusty, there was hair on a pillow, rubbish on the floor and an unhealthy odour that of mold. Upon immediately reporting the above, we were changed to an acceptable room which was fundamentally odorless.

Recently stayed for my 40th birthday, 2 bedroom swim-out room. Great room, fairly clean. We had an unfortunate night with some drunk guests next door, but the hotel staff managed it quickly and effectively. The pool is amazing, and our child had a great time waking up each morning and jumping in the pool. Due to Covid-19 the food was a little limited with strange availability times imposed. There was no mango or strawberries available at the bar for mocktails. And i was unable to get into the Spa, as they are only operating a few days a week (but this was not mentioned) in saying all of that, the staff were great and very helpful.

We saved for months to be able to afford this holiday and booked 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment with plunge pool to spend our daughters birthday here and was disappointed in the accomodation, it did not meet our expectations. The first room had mould on blinds and in shower and behind bathroom door. Around every crevice around the doors there is a build up of dust and accumulated fluff. The aircon gave off a mouldy smell throughout the whole apartment. Spoke to reception and staff where very apologetic and changed our room and gave a complimentary cheese platter for the inconvenience which was a nice gesture. The second room was not much better. Same mouldy smell coming from aircon which set my allergies off. Considering this is a 5 star resort the apartments don’t meet the standards u would expect. Very outdated and in need of renovations and aircon ducts cleaned and sanitised. The plus side though is the customer service from all staff is excellent and the resort lagoon is lovely and the grounds well maintained, our private plunge pool was also lovely it’s just the apartments definitely need a makeover to meet the standards one would expect from a 5 star resort.

We stayed without 1 year old daughter for 4 nights in this beautiful hotel and we absolutely loved it! The rooms are beautiful we had a pool access room which we couldn’t fault. Thanks to all the lovely staff for making our stay so special, they even gave our daughter a little toy turtle on our arrival which was just lovely.
