The location, heritage nature and the quiet privacy of this property draws you to it. In the CBD yet in its own quiet world an ideal place to relax after a day full of stressful meetings. I immensely enjoyed my stay at the property

we were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation. on arrival met by receptionist opening front door for us, very friendly manner. Room was excellent, and spacious. parking next to property, tram stop outside of address in free tram zone. easy to get around Melbourne close to MCG and other sporting facilities. good stroll to Swanston st, or catch free tram. pity that restaurant was not operating for meals due to Covid restrictions.

Family get together after lockdown. we took the opportunity for my wife and i to catch up with our adult kids and stay in Melbourne for the weekend. The Lindrum was perfect. The ideal place - great location, great rooms and supported by friendly and professional staff. The hotel has a intimate vibe not always found in the larger hotels. Will stay again Great weekend

A Restful Step Back in Time

This was a repeat stay, and the hotel has not lost its charm, despite some of the government mandated Covid-19 restrictions. No, the mini-bar cannot be stocked (but we could turn on the fridge for our own use) and the lovely "Felt" restaurant is only available for a la carte breakfast and no buffet, but the meal was fine (and of course the Accor Card helps!!). No dinner is currently available. BUT one can still play snooker on the lovely old billiard table, and the back lounge is a lovely place for a quiet drink. With all the Accor cleaning protocols, we were not anxious in the least. With the reduced accommodation demand we were even upgraded to a better room.

Love the Lindrum but its service has fallen off the perch.

I generally don't write negative reviews but am compelled to do so on this occasion. I have been staying at the Lindrum since it was first renovated and opened in 1999. This stay at the Lindrum wasn't a good experience. The air-conditioning wasn't working and the room was like an oven. The shower was at best a dribble and almost pointless using. No cold water was made available to guests even though the lovely note, on the desk in the room, from the manager said there would be water available in the room. Breakfast wasn't available until after 7:30 so too bad if you have an early meeting which i did. On pointing these things out to the reception on the day we checked out no apology or compensation was offered in fact the reception lady was rude to us. I must say that Abe Groot, the night manager, did try to help and unlocked the windows so there was some fresh air coming in. But overall not the experience i was expecting from a high end hotel. Im not sure I will be staying at the Lindrum again. John

Weekend in Melbourne

We detoured to Melbourne to catch some culture after an overseas trip before heading home to Sydney. We were very pleased to find that our room was available when we arrived at 8am and we used it immediately to catch up some jet lag induced sleep deprivation. We were very grateful, even though we knowingly compromised on the location and view from the room. To be offered the room at that time in teh morning was a real relief that we did not expect.

This is our favourite place to stay in Melbourne. Great location, lovely large beds with beautiful linen, turn down service with complementary biscuits and high quality teas and plunger coffee. Staff are always cheerful and only too happy to assist. Breakfast both days was delicious, lovely high quality food in a quiet and nicely appointed dining area. We will be back!

Hotel Lindrum is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. A little hideaway in the perfect spot - busting with personality - the opposite to your typical bustling high rise hotel. We will be back for sure!

I have dined at the Hotel Lindrum's Felt Restaurant for just under a decade. The meals have usually exceeded expectations. However, I the last 4-years the quality of the dinner meals has dropped dramatically. It would appear that chefs come and go on a regular basis. The latest chef, some British bloke, should in my opinion, based on the absolutely horrible dinner, be sent packing to some pub in Melbourne's CBD. Otherwise, as to the accommodations [despite limited views] they met or exceeded expectations. The one annoying glitch, which was resolved after time-consuming telephone calls, was the security deposit applied to the account.

Thanks to the Hotel Lindrum , clean beautiful rooms & the most friendly staff we have ever come across. We can't comment on the food as we didn't dine at the Hotel or have a drink at the Bar , maybe next time as their will be a next time we would highly recommend The Hotel Lindrum.

Housekeeping was tardy, leaving empty bottles around and duty manager (night of 9/11/19) had the audacity to insinuate that I left the 'do not disturb' sign on when I was extremely lucid that it was the converse. Was curtly received by reception who claimed that it wasnt possible to upgrade me despite my Platinum status due to full occupancy. This was clearly untrue as I went on the website and checked for availability. I had to remind of the benefits that came with my status and was denied a late check-out at first instance but later granted it. Platinum members are entitled to late check-outs and this is an expectation, not a privilege. Breakfast was mediocre with a unimpressive spread that I had it once and skipped the rest; even though it was complimentary for me. Throughout the stay, I was made to feel as if I had gone into a British Supperclub with staff looking extremely surprised to see an Asian guest. I would suggest watching the movie Crazy Rich Asians and pay particular attention to the first scene. And, acknowledge that Melbourne, being in Australia, is part of Asia Pacific. Perhaps the saving grace were a minority of service staff e.g. Han and Kelly, who were truly sincere and forthcoming. The staff appeared swamped with multiple tasks; giving the impression that the property does not have sufficient manpower. Therefore, money is best spent at the Sofitel or the Pullman and I will never, ever return! Dr. Sam Jay Yeo Singapore Accor Platinum member

have stayed here regularly, very much like the hotel, the staff, the food & the location. This was a very busy weekend, with the Melbourne Marathon being held. We were in room 115, which backs onto a laneway - not great when garbage trucks come in the early hours to empty bins / skips etc ! Other than that, no complaint, will continue to stay at the Lindrum.

Fantastic boutique motel in good position on the edge of the city centre. Room was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was very good. Parking was in next door security car park for $23 per day.

A Melbourne girl through and through, so every so often will spend a long weekend as a tourist in Melbourne and the Hotel Lindrum is where we always stay. A small boutique hotel never over crowded and has an intimate feel about it. It is located in the city but at the edge so close to everything but close enough to walk to the Art Centre, museums, parks and public transport. Service is always excellent, rooms nice and comfortable and food not bad.

I booked a 4 day stay at the Hotel Lindrum in August 2019. The experience was sensational from the online check in which allowed me to collect my key on arrival enabling me to go direct to my allotted room.to my subsequent departure. The staff were friendly and professional and the room well prepared. I would recommend the Hotel to those travelling to Melbourne.

Our first time staying at this hotel, and we will be back. Very clean and well appointed rooms in a building with old school charm. Well located for the entertainment precinct, only a short walk to many restaurants and theatres. The staff could not have been better, welcoming and efficient on arrival and check-in, they make the extra efforts to offer a very friendly, helpful and personalised service to al guests.
