Nice room, good location. It is a bit more luxurious than Ibis hotels in Western Europe. The room contained a mini fridge, hot water kettle, coffee, tea, and bottled water. They even provided slippers and toiletries. The showers were a bit rusty, may need some renovation soon. The aircon is fantastic, really powerful for hot and humid KL weather. The staff were very helpful even when I arrived at 10 PM. The hotel is about 15-20 min walk to Petronas Tower. This is a good base for a KL holiday.

Do not recommend. Don't book Ibis kuala lumpur city center. Avoid it.

Don't book this hotel. The Service are very bad, the reception staff very rude. We booked the hotel for 3 nights and request for double bed but was told that the hotel full. In fact we went to Accor, booking.com and agoda and check available and it was at least 10 rooms available. The reception staff were lied and didn't want to change the room for us. We came as a couple but they give us twin bed while we book for Double bed. The bed are disgusting dirty inside. The sheet full of yellow strain look like ... someone has pass urine on it. The bathroom are gross. Highly avoiding this hotel. For 4 stars hotel you can get somewhere better. It is not worth the value at all.

Here’s where again, I wish TripAdvisor would offer 3.5 ratings, because that would be the right rank in this case. I spent 2 stays at this property, covering 16 nights, so I know it well. The good: - the room itself, was good. Bed was terrific, as always, at Ibis. Air conditioner never failed. Shower was fantastic. - on the 31st floor, the 10 inch, vegetable pizza is really good. Room for improvement: - the WiFi constantly cut out on me, every time I stopped using it, even if I only paused two minutes. This was very annoying. - the breakfast, on two levels. a. While there are a lot of options, the taste of many offerings was very bland. Also, the options are heavily skewed to an Asian palate. This is not a complaint, merely an observation, so expectations are based on reality. b. You really need to arrive at breakfast by 8.00 at the latest, earlier on weekends. When the hotel is heavily- booked, the breakfast experience can be sheer bedlam, unable to move around the food, the crush of people is overwhelming, and it’s quite unpleasant. I don’t blame the hotel for this; merely stating a fact, and offering advice, to make your experience more pleasant. Location: I personally didn’t care for it, as It’s fairly isolated if you enjoy walking, and exploring cities by foot, as do I. Everything is to the right, as you exit the hotel. 4 minutes away is “Breadtalk / Toast Box.” This is a bakery and cafe, with food offerings as well. It is 137m ( 150 yards ) walk. The Petronas Towers are 12-13 minutes walk. They are connected to “Suria”, an upscale mall. Next comes the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center- adjacent to the mall. The Convention Center is a 20 minute walk from the hotel. There is also KLCC Park, a huge park behind the mall and convention center. I definitely recommend taking a tour of the Petronas Towers. They take 1 hour, and are offered in many time slots, daily but Monday. Two tips: First, go downstairs to the ticket office the day you’d like to do the tour. Tickets go on sale at 9.30 AM. These tours are super popular, but if you get there in line, 15 minutes before the office opens, you should be able to get a decent slot. Second, if possible, book a morning slot, because in Kuala Lumpur, it often clouds up and rains in the afternoon. Overall, the hotel is very adequate.

Brilliant hotel, very clean and close to the centre, staff couldn't do enough for you. There is a infinity pool on the roof, towels are available for use. Enjoyable breakfast with a good choice of both European and local foods.

I stayed at Ibis Hotel on 14th to 17th October and it was a disappointing experience. We arrived early to the property due to our flight. The staff was very helpful in the beginning they offered us a room for changing purposes because I had to attend to my graduation photograph session. I clearly asked the Duty Manager of that day if the room is given temporarily or this is one of the two rooms we were supposed to have. She said that it is temporary till the other rooms get cleaned. We checked in to the room and there was a A/C water leak inside the room. There was water everywhere in the room and I called the maintenance to inform about the issue and I told them it wouldn’t be a problem because we’ll be changing the rooms and they can sort the A/C issue after we change the rooms. In the afternoon we were informed by the reception that the second room we booked was ready and they won’t be changing our room as promised. I understand and being thankful for going out of their way to give us a room as early as possible but they promised to change the rooms after 2 when I asked from their Duty Manager. I had to explain the maintenance issues in the room and talk to the duty manager again about what she promised earlier in the morning to get the room change. What I’m simply saying is don’t promise anything to the customer if you can’t meet their requirements end of the day. I work in hospitality industry and I understand to what extent a Duty Manager can help a guest.
