AFTER A VERY TURBULENT JOURNEY (14h ferry crossing from Calais) We called the hotel to advice the of a very late arrival (12 hours late). Upon arrival we found a special welcome gift in our room to help us forget the somewhat .traumatic experience . What a kind thoughtful gesture thank you

The welcome and informal check in was conducted efficiently by charming staff. The room was a typical Ibis room - clean, comfortable and well-planned. Perfect for a short stay. The air conditioning/heating was efficient (and necessary!). The breakfast was very good value with plenty of choice.

I was in Cambridge for a night. The bedroom and bathroom were decent and contained all the essentials. The bedroom was quiet and it allowed me to have a good sleep for my interview on the next morning. One thing that warmed my heart when I entered the room was a little box on the table which contained a bottle of water, an apple and a chocolate bar thoughtfully prepared by the reception team with a handwritten card. I found this little gesture very kind and sweet. Thank you Ibis and I would definitely come back again.

IBIS cancelled my booking without telling me

I rocked up to the IBIS in Cambridge to be told that my booking had been cancelled. This caused stress and I then had to go through a lengthy process to book an available room at an increased cost. I have complained to IBIS but have had no feedback. Apart from that the hotel is good and convenient

Dear Mr Bryn Thank you for your time to leave us your feedback. Just to clarify the situation, I have double checked your booking and the cancellation that you mentioned. It wasn't IBIS who cancelled your reservation. The reservation has been cancelled through online payment system that you used to pay for your booking, the payment has been cancelled so the whole booking as well. Therefore we didn't take any money for the booking that has been cancelled. Apparently the whole situation has been a system error and a mistake, I do understand that this caused an inconvenience to you and I am really sorry about that. I am glad to read that you liked the hotel and I hope that overall you have had a pleasant stay. I hope you will give us a second chance and we can welcome you at Ibis in the future . Friendly and enthusiastic staff greet you with a smile, with the room ready for early check-in for being a Gold Accor Member. The room was simple, clean and usable. The only thing missing for a cold climate location was tissues in the room. Breakfast buffet had great variety, although the same dishes are served everyday, except for the chef's special eg Portuguese Tart. The option to takeaway the coffee was a nice touch too. Would I stay again- yes, for the price and convenience.

Well located. It is a very basic hotel, but it has vey good customer support from all the team, both at lounge level and at the breakfast area. They are very polite.

Not much to say. The hotel is conveniently located for me, as I go for work. It s adequately priced, but the lack of room service is sometimes an issue. The staff are really great!

Wanted somewhere reasonably priced for a night in Cambridge. Ibis right next to a car park, buses into city centre and food and drink available when we got back. We live in the sticks so we actually took advantage of deliveroo and had a Wagamama delivered. But can’t knock the good feel of the hotel. Like a 2020 Nighthawks but with happier vibes.

The hotel is perfect for a short stay. Clean and comfortable with friendly efficient staff. The location is good as you can leave your bags when you check out and then collect it later as you head to the train station. Breakfast is very good -served in a very relaxing environment.

Generally an excellent visit. Had a problem with the TV that turned out not to be your problem bit a Free View problem. The Maintenance young man would not leave until he had exhausted all repair possibilities and used the time in my room to explain the ethos of the hotel and expressed pride in the way it was managed , He spoke of the concern to keep the hotel in tip top condition. He was a credit to your hotel and deserves recognition for his positive attitude. My Gold status had not been communicated to the hotel which was a little disappointing as I missed out on the associated rewards.

A special thank you to Sandra who went out of her way to help us. We checked out and went to our car parked outside to find the window had been smashed. I asked if I could borrow a broom to clean the mess and she leant us a broom, pan, bags an tape so we could clean the car and cover the window. We ended up staying another night as our car could not be repaired until the end next day. It was a stressful situation for my wife and 4 year old but Sandra's kindness made a big difference. We will definitely stay here again. The room was great and the room staff were also very friendly and professional.

It was ok overall. However, a few things I don't like: 1) I can hear people open and close the doors when in the room, which can be disturbing. It proofs that the soundproof is not very good; 2) the liquid soap provided - never feels that I can raise it off completely - not a high quality one; 3) pillow is too high for the comfort of neck; 4) duvet is thin for the winter - heating not very powerful either

I stayed at Ibis Cambridge Railway Station for one night on a business trip. It was ideally located right outside the station main entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spotlessly clean and well appointed. It was quiet and I had good sleep in the very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent - better than I had anticipated, with a good range of choice - the only thing missing was fried eggs! The only thing preventing me from rating my experience 10/10 is that the hot water in my bathroom was not as hot as I expected. Even with the shower temperature right up, it was only warm and not scalding hot - fine, but just not perfect.

Two comments on our stay: 1. Coat hooks near the door would be a useful improvement. 2. Our towels were changed even though not put on the floor - try to be eco-friendly!
