The only good thing about this hotel is its location. We stayed one night only and it was more than enough to rate it as a bad experience. The room was not clean. It had that smell of a place that has neither been cleaned nor aired. There was hair on the bathroom, on the pillow, on the bed linen. Shower was ok. Towels ok too. We have not had breakfast.

Great location

Great place to stay, the staff are very helpful and the room is quite comfortable and quiet. The neighborhood is super quiet and quite leafy, close to several restaurants and bars and also the square of Freedom.

My hotel reservation was made through BOOKING site and a given daily rate. When checking in, for some unknown reason I was told bt the front desk receptionist that the "system" had generated a reservation at a higher rate. The hotel manager explained that was a mistake and I wa going to be reimbursed when checking out. I was never reimbursed. The hotel charged me exactly my credit amount for "local calls" expenses.

I like IBIS Afonso Pena. It's nearby many places for shopping and eating. It's also near downtown. It does justify what it offers, at a very convenient tariff. Accor Club has many advantages for it's members.

The room was full of ants and after replying to IBIS own survey all I got was an automatic reply from "the manager". I was, minimally, expecting a proper answer. Moreover, the staff was not used to "speed check out" therefore I had to wait and waste a lot of time to simply leave the hotel (all paid in advance)

Located near Praca Libertade, it was a perfect location for me. I found this Ibis hotel to be a great value. Rooms are small and efficient. Seemed fairly new. Very helpful staff. Breakfast buffet isn't cheap; but for the variety and quality I thought it was also a reasonable value. I higher recommend it.
