Everything about the stay was what we needed it to be for a quick overnight apart from the terrible bed experience. We had a double bed room booked, only to find that our bed was actually two single mattresses next to each with mattress toppers on top, all four of which slid around and separated, while also having dips in the actual mattresses.

Just stayed here for 1 night. The room was smelled of drains and I was in an accessible room. Not a huge amount to manoeuvre a wheelchair. Not sure how many times I banged into a wall or door of furniture. Bathroom was okay but dirty tiling and marks in shower area. The man who was shouting at 3 in the morning in the street wouldn’t be there every night but unfortunately he was during my stay. It’s okay for an in and out stay but I’d avoid again as it’s a bit tired and needing a lot of work. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

My second stay here. Very friendly welcome from staff and always very helpful. Great location. Room was clean and no issues apart from in the bathroom where some fixing is needed e.g. shower head loose and sink plug stuck when used it.

The team has made us feel most welcomed the second qe stepped in the lobby. Reception staff was friendly, warm and professional. Our bedroom was clean and the perfect size. The hotel is ideally located in the centre, five minutes walk from the Royal Mile, accessible by public transport. The breakfast was of good quality. The haggis was particularly tasty. The only negative thing were the scrambled eggs, which were far too cooked the day we had our breakfast. But that is a detail!

Good experience staying at this hotel with good location. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The only reservations would be the water in the shower room, which was too low and the lighting in the room, particularly around the table.

We were not happy with our stay. Central location was handy. Staff friendly. Small rooms with twin beds right against each other. Only one of the 2 lifts worked when we were there. We booked for 3 nights. 2nd afternoon, toilet handle was very loose & I advised staff. That evening, toilet leaking water, told staff. Was advised maintenance had gone home & as toilet flushing they would arrange repair the next day. When I asked what we were to do if toilet stopped flushing overnight, I was told that we would need to use toilets in the bar, 3 floors below us, as hotel full. Great idea to wander the hotel in the middle of the night in PJs or to have to get dressed to do it. The toilet wouldn't flush the next morning so I notified staff. They arranged for us to have another room once it had been vacated & cleaned, so we had to pack up all our stuff before we went out for the day. On return, we were given another twin room. Small beds against each other, but at least a flushing toilet. We were not offered an upgrade for the inconvenience & embarassment, or a breakfast or even a cup of coffee. Anything might have been appreciated. This really detracted from our opinion of Ibis & Accor.

Very nice check in person. Easy checkin. Great location. Slept well. The only down aspect was the economy character of the facility. No fridge. Plastic chair. It was just comfortable but no sense of a fine hotel. I was grateful for the kettle.
