ibis Styles Toulouse Gare Centre Matabiau 3 estrelas

Good location, quiet room if in courtyard area, comfortable big bed and nice breakfast. Bathrooms ok, toilet tiny and doors don’t lock. Unfortunately it doesn’t match the usual standards of an Ibis styles and the price reflects this… it should be an ibis budget. We had to change rooms as curtains were hanging off, and still not great in new one. Poor quality of paintwork and finishes, old ceiling tiles, noisy heating system that whines all night. You have to walk outside to access rooms and doors left open to corridors so absolutely freezing. Staff lovely and breakfast nice, although turnaround in pancakes too slow.

Just a typical 3 star hotel. No frills but clean, quiet and cosy. The location is excellent for exploring the city with just a short walk into the city centre. The breakfast on offer is a little poor but typically European with breads and pastries but not much else. For the price paid, can not be too critical really.

Another stay for me here and as usual it didn't disappoint. Decent sized room at the back of the hotel in the courtyard. Comfy bed, clean modern bathroom and very good air conditioning which was vital when it hit 40c outside! Staff friendly and helpful. I'm sure I'll be back.

We flew into Toulouse and stayed here before hiring a canal boat, then stayed again before leaving to fly home. When we arrived we had no luggage as BA had decided not to put it on the plane. The receptionist was excellent, provided a map and some guidance on where we might be able to get wash kit and clothing before the shops shut. He gave us all the information we needed, even lending us a phone charger so we could keep in touch with BA. The rooms are a good size, well laid out, clean. The bathrooms are up to date with good showers and space. Tea and coffee is available all the time in reception and the breakfast in the morning has everything you would need, fresh bread, eggs, cold meats/cheese, croissants etc. It is very well priced and right opposite the train station for onward travel. It is walking distance to many good restaurants and to check out the centre of Toulouse and any sights. I would stay again if I went back to Toulouse

Travelled for a first visit to Toulouse via Paris on the tgv from Montparnasse, for my requirements the hotel was perfectly placed for someone arriving by my method. I was greeted, as usual, by two friendly and helpful members of staff and check in was very smooth, I had a room on the first floor and lower courtyard area, it was a little dark but well proportioned and spacious as was the bathroom, with the toilet separate in small room in the corner. The breakfast room was compact and had the usual wide variety of offerings, so I didn’t go hungry!, and when I wandered around outside there seemed to be plenty of cafes, restaurants and bistros in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The city was a short meander away and very pleasant the walk was too, there is also plenty of public transport available including an excellent easy to use metro with a station just behind Toulouse Matabiau, which can also be accessed via the front of the station via some steps to the right going down and then a five minute walk or so to the metro. The City itself was beautiful wiith some lovely green spaces and plenty of places to walk and visit or peruse the shops which were abundant, altogether a pleasant stay in another beautiful southern city.
