Spoilt rotten with the most spectacular views from our apartment.

The view was spectacular in our 3 bedroom Ocean Front Apartment. Windows spotless and the main bedroom to die for. Super comfortable beds were a bonus. Richelle the Manager was exceptional, friendly, efficient and where practicable, super accomodating. So refreshing to have such welcoming staff invested to ensure our stay was memorable. The perfect place for our family reunion. Highly recommend.

As an Accor member I made the mistake of booking through Expedia instead of Accor directly and ended up in room 4013 that looked absolutely nothing like the images on the website. We were so disappointed. There is no wall between the bathroom and main living area and only a mouldy shower curtain separating the shower and bedroom leaving zero privacy for showering. It also wasn’t as clean as you would expect an Accor property to be with old stained furniture. Looking at other people’s reviews I’m guessing we lucked out completely by using expedi. There are no pool towels provided at any of the pools or in the rooms so make sure you BYO. The location is good, the pools are ok and the gyms are slowly being improved but you can’t access them til 7am.

We had such a wonderful time there ! Great stuff and wonderful views. Everything was super clean and the pools are amazing. We definitely looking forward to come back. I would highly recommend to go there. Best place on magnetic island. I’ll come back !

The location of the apartments right on the Coral Sea is just as good as it looks in the photos. A bath with a sea view was a pretty special treat, and a second bathroom for the kids was amply sized. We stayed for a week and were very comfortable - my two teenage girls and I loved the spa and heated pool area, and Richelle the manager was super welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She gave the place a great relaxed and friendly feel. We’d stay again.

Had an amazing stay with Grand Mercure at Nelly Bay. Clean rooms with comfortable beds, bathrooms, and a full kitchen with basic utensils to use. With ocean view room, although we backed on to the pool yard, we had a fantastic view of the harbour which was a delight during both sunrise and sunset. Lovely 3 pool facilities (and a spectacular roof-top pool view) and spa to enjoy on site. One of the best qualities of the accommodation was its convenient location; a 2 minute walk to the ferry terminal, car hire, bus station and IGA (1 of 2 grocery stores on the island). As for staff, Poli at reception was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful as we arrived. Lastly, massive shout out for the lovely apartment manager Richelle for accomodating us so generously and for her excellence with helping us with our departure. We are so grateful for her kindness and truly unparalleled service, going above and beyond for us. We would absolutely recommend Grand Mercure to friends and family for future stays at Magnetic Island and are excited to stay again soon! With great thanks, room 2103.
