Unfortunately I wanted to like this hotel more than I did. It has a beautiful lobby and nice location but it’s more of a 4 star or good 3 star hotel than 5 stars. The good - Beautiful location and lobby - Dinner (not included) was consistently good (though European prices) - Service was generally good and efficient, with very welcoming reception and transfer staff (special mention to Ivan who drove us twice during our stay - he is an asset to the hotel) - Comfortable beds The bad - The breakfast was not 5 stars. It had limited supply and some items weren’t great (cereals over dried, no specialty coffee, limited amount of juice) and tables weren’t cleaned fast enough (probably lack of staff) - The room needed some TLC in areas, no sleepers or robes were provided and no bottles of water (water only available if you walked to reception and had your own bottle…not very convenient or 5 stars) - We found rust inside our kettle (good thing we looked before we used it) and the bathroom door was warped and had green residue from likely overflowing water from a previous stay - The swimming pool was not clean (it’s the beginning of winter so unlikely many will use it, but still you’d expect more from a “5 stars”) - Transfer prices were steep, even when considering the bigger cars - We had a cot in our room for our baby but this was dangerously put together, as the mattress was too small for the cot and there was a big gap between them (suffocation risk) Overall it was ok. If they were to market themselves as a 3-4 star hotel I would have been probably happier with my stay, but as a 5 star it’s lacking in some of its standards

After a long day, we ate at the hotel, the food was great, staff helpful and friendly when I needed to check in for my flight. Only thing missing was complimentary water,

Located in a forest. Felt very peaceful. Staff was very helpful. Had my best steak of the trip in the restaurant. Rooms are a bit dated. Floor boards in our room were damaged and were a trip hazard.
