The covid rules mean that these are strange times at this hotel that we like very much, staff did all they could to help ,hoping the next visit will be in better times with the restaurent ansd bar open as normal

As always we had a comfortable stay at one of our favourite hotels. It was a shame that the present climate restricted services; we arrived early, around 1pm and was unable to order any food until 4pm. However, food was good.

Rooms were very cleaning spacious (family room) and spacious. Implacable service..great food and great value. Staff were most helpful and courteous. Pleasant break overal. Unfortunately the continental breakfast was a letdown. Limited choice and basic but understands with cobid pandemic

We have been visiting this hotel since 2004 as its a great location less than an hour from our home. Really pleased to be back to a slightly different stay than normal. We missed the buffet breakfast which is always excellent however the breakfast Bag to Go was very good. Plus it was lovely to be able to swim again and the booking system for the Health Club worked very well. Keep up the good work.

Been here many times. When booked was told bar open pool open restaurant in evening open breakfast box When arrived bar was not open and limited supply behind reception. No sandwiches until 4pm ( in past always available) Menu in evening very limited( was not informed of this when made booking) On good side a lovely welcome at front desk and very helpful. A very jolly and nice smile from manager. We would still go again but when things back to normal x

Our twin room was comfortable and clean. The receptionist was lovely although I did feel sorry for her. Part of her job was to give out the less than adequate breakfast bags. Although I realise the reason for these, I am sure a better way of providing breakfast for your guests could be arranged. There was no fresh coffee or tea although your receptionist made us a cup of instant....had to request fresh milk not the long life pots. The dinner in the restaurant both evenings was wonderful. The spa, although small was lovely. The staff friendly and attentive and the massages both days were fabulous. The swimming pool was good, although the changing rooms look very tired and one of our lockers didn’t lock. We had a very relaxing weekend overall.

The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. I found the bedroom rather warmer than necessary and was surprised to find heating on in the corridor. I thought the restaurant food and drinks on the expensive side. The service was however excellent.

I understand covid but we couldn't go in jacuzzi or steam or spa. The bar didn't open until 4. We booked the deluxe room had to ask for the robes. Takeaway coffee cups in the room that we had to reuse. No reason why we couldn't have cups. The meal was standard. We ordered the chicken which was dry and our veg came out late..i understand covid but we should have been given discount for the things we couldnt enjoy. Couldnt have full English breakfast. Very disappointed way to enjoy our anniversary.

Noise was terrible

Was given a room with a door which connected to another guests room. The other guests might as well have been in our room. No soundproofing at all and conversations clearly heard which continued until 2.30am. Reception did respond promptly when I complained. Swimming pool was nice, staff were friendly and room was otherwise fine.

Nice and clean. We specifically booked a Privilege room to get slippers and bathrobes that we can use in the pool. I had to call twice to request and follow up, I was advised they can put it in the room even if we were out. However we were still waiting up until the time we checked out. We were charged for the Privilege room but we did not get the privilege promised. Apart from that, our stay was pleasant. The lady that took care of us during dinner was nice and helpful, she even made recommendations for our baby. Even the Asian guy who booked our table was kind and helpful.
